Course Curriculum Overview

1

I\n Chose this course in specific this college.Because first of all , it was afforrable as compared to others institutes.I can say that we weren't getting any experience which can prepare us for the real world experience like we were made to sit in workshops which was not at all connected to our curriculum. And then later on, when we said we don't want to attend it.We were given lame excuses like this will help you. And we will give you certificates for this. And later on , we were given nothing. Course needs a lot of improvement.I guess because they doesn't favor student feedbacks. The exam are typically in june and depends upon ycmou college dosent have any role to it and its not that difficult with basic knowledge you can score well.

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid around 1,68,000 per year for this course its a 3year degree program all the fee is included in that only that is the university fee + the institute fee . At the time of admission students can get scholarships at the college based on the availability of seats and they also offer a early bird offer in which on the starting enrollment students can get direct reduction of rupees 25000 but the scholarship amount depends from one student to another which is generally asked to not share with anyone. I don't think their are specific scholarships for the cast or reservations it depends upon on the management directly.

Campus Life

1

No fests because college always have buget issues even were are made to pay for events like garba night, ganesh chaturthi and all the college events we were made to contribute every time no budget allocation is given for any event. No books are available for our use or curriculum and when we ask for them we were asked to read our coursebooks. We have to rome around to person to person for basic necessity like life or HDMI cable wich is used to connect PC with smartboard. The events are specifically organized by PGDM students and if they want us to be a part of it we can join otherwise we came to know about the event after its already over. For sports every asset belongs to Lexicon? school hence we require permission to use the same due to this we added up funds by our own to get our sports equipments we are lesser in strength thats why management doesn't focus on us often. No social communities and no student protal for us the PGDM students have student council but we don't they get badges for their posts like president, placement coordinator, sports coordinator etc. But we didn't.

Admission

I chose this college due to the things promise to us like computers, experienced faculty, infra and all but later that were just words and none were reality . I did apply to other institutions as well but the fee were out of my budget hence i want like to mention. I didn't face any rejections but the issue was fee structure. They dont have any admission criteria youvonly required passing percentage and once you enquiry their the admission department will keep on calling you untill you confirm the admission.

Faculty

1

As i mentioned their are only visiting faculty and no matter for which software he or she has come all the students (students of the entire degree program ) has to attend it like if a faculty came for diploma students we were made to sit their as well because they didn't had faculty for us. All the students used to it in the same classroom for a long time no idea of now currently majority of students has left the institute due to these issues. Lexicon doesn't give us degree but is affiliated with Ycmou which is an open university and has annual examination Just to mention that the course which we are preparing for is totally practical based. But due to unavailable faculty, we were forced to do theory related work only. And when we said that when we need to do practical and not theory ,they said that this theory will boost up your base of the software , but the theory which we are learning was the one taught to us in 1st standard which was totally not related to softwares.

Night Life

3

Their is no things like hostel in the campus or anything we just have a main office building where 4 department are present global MBA, PGDM,HMCT and IMA and at back of the college building their is a Lexicon? school thry both are in same campus a part from that the school and college have shared assets like Turf, basketball court and busses (depends on availability but we need to pay) . As such their is no night life. The locality is very much safe but for hanging out you can prefer IVY Estate. But wagholi is like in exterior regions to pune so their aren't much spots.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because of the teachers who teach that. I had my siblings telling me that they love the way their teachers taught them. They make it so easy to understand and give you so much advice to grow and have great success. Also, this college is just a treasure of other curriculum activities. Once you got to know that they held those kinda functions over these years you can't resist and will participate in those functions. As it the course was difficult but teachers will make it easy they will guide you in any problem that you have and encourage you to learn more skills so you can be more successful.
