Course Curriculum Overview

5

Frequency of exams are fixed around in a month but mostly in 2 months like end sem and mid sem. Many courses which shaped my carrier are intro to quant finance, Deep Learning, Particle and Nuclear physics and many more are there, courses are to graso the concept if you wanna do good then you must approach profs for some projects to have real wold experience and most profs are laways ready to guide you through some projects and refrences.

Internships Opportunities

5

varuious companies like, google, microsoft, amazon, visa, sprinkler, tech mahindra, adobe, nvidia and many more visit every year and stipend varies in between of 50k to 1.5 lakhs and for some local or small companies it might be around 20-30k and it varies. Hires for roles like software development, ml-ai engineer, electrical engineers, quant engineers and many more roles are there

Placement Experience

4

yes they povide placements. After 6th sem, means in 7th sem you are eligible for placement and apply for companies based on their requirements. Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits every year. Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Fees and Financial Aid

1. Means for tution fees it's 1.01 lakhs per year and 66% off if income is in between 1-5 lakhs per year and 100% off if income is less than 1 lakhs per year. 2. Various scholarships are open and student can freely opt for scholarship and I have seen multiple collegues who are opting from 30k to 60k per year worth of cash scholarships 3. Fees for foreign nationals are much more around 3x of ours, visit iit mandi website 4. There is not too many charges with it, there is only tution fees per year along with hostel and mess fees per year and one time of 20k roughly for all kind of security and admission fess in start only.

Campus Life

4

I am not too social person, love to live in solitude, but there is better campus life, many cubs are there important ones are trekking and mountain biking club and as usual drama, music, dance all are there along with tech clubs like coding, robotics, astronomy and many more. Many journals and books can be found in Library availabel in free of cost for specific persiod of thime and after that you have to get it reissued

Hostel Facilities

2

Free electicity, free washing machines, lights, fans, daily sweepers to cleans hostels (not your rooms). Meal quality varies between 8-10, but they in gerenal gives good food. Registraion is in the start of semester and is very simple no chaos or so. Locality is also 8/10 as the are himalyans so threy have special attachements to the guests and so . . .

Admission

It's an IIT, so every other colleges rules out. It;s in mountains, valleys, forest whcih excites everyone and you are here. Applied to uther IITs too but according to my rank this was beast suited and gave me proper branch and college Apply fo JEE mains and qualify it then Qualify JEE advance and apply via JOSSA and you will be here on basis of your rank

Faculty

4

Faculty to student ratio is 1:11-12, most of profs in electrical+CSE+DSE. Various facultty members, one of them in Prof. Gajendra as he takes a course called Design Practium where we build real world products applicable to startups, research and so. Most of the faculty are good, but a little are annoying who wants to do works in their way only. Less than 0.5% student fails exam, exams are structured like midsem, endsem, some times mini quizes

Night Life

5

It's pretty exciting like STAC, atronomy club holds for star gazing sessions in night and freely go and enjoy there with the club's telescope /equipments. You can remain out of your hostels till 2AM in morning and if have special permission then all night, and mostly film club organize movie night in open threaters where we can watch movies, and also we have village sqaure where you can roam all day and night

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at my college are average. A few reputed companies visit the campus each year, but the number of offers and salary packages varies depending on the branch and market conditions. Students who have strong academic performance, technical skills, internships, and good communication skills generally have better chances of getting placed.
