Delhi University experience of first year

I chose Hansraj basically due to its strong academic reputation, disciplined environment, crowd, and its placement history. Miranda house is considered the best one in Delhi university for Geography Honours. My preferences were Miranda house followed by Kirori Mal college and and IPCW in north campus. I was alotted Miranda house in the first round of allocation itself. Its a genuine privilege to be attending my course At Miranda , and i am assured that after 3 years of learning I would be much better at my subject of study. The admission process is the same for Miranda house as the other colleges in DU, students give CUET (common university admission test) conducted by NTA every year and then the colleges are allocated on the basis of our CUET score and preference list....Read More

I had applied to Hindu College and St Stephens before Kirorimal College. This was because I wanted to simply get their brand name, though the teaching quality is more or less the same at this level. I chose this college over the others because it has a very good and qualified faculty. I was not able to get Hindu college and St Stephens as my CUET score was below their cut-off score. For my college admission, I had to simply choose my college preference in the DU website and it automatically made the selection depending on my CUET score. For Department of History at Kirorimal College, the cut-off for Gnereal Category is around 855+. The admission procedure was extremely smooth and was very convenient for students....Read More
