UPES is modern day university!

Maximum students today wants to master AI and therefore I chose this branch of CSE. Out of 1200 batch size of CSE our stream has nearly 400 students highest of them all. Areas of improvement would be to give us off during weekends because classes are anyways too long and we are given daily assessment to practice at home too.

Since CSW students as in UPES School of Computer Science students are 1200+, I think 60 percent students do get placements. Now the criteria is that students get a strong bandwith in placements that it is not at all easy to become a part of placements as students carrying back in 3rd year are not allowed to appear for any job interview at the university.

UPES is one of the most modern university and has produced time and again that it will not come down to other universities. The fees are therefore quite high as it's 5 lakhs a year for engineering and 1.5 lakhs or so for the hostels which is slightly unreasonable as well. Better than PGs though as atleast we have full security since hostels are inside the premises.

Campus is huge and it is in an area of close to 50 acres and that too Mountain view on three of its sides. From Rishikesh to Mussorie which are at the opposite end, the university does provide us nice and even places to hangout. There are many clubs as I am part of Abhi which is a dande society and we have been given the opportunity to perform at college events.

There's just one girls hostel and therefore those who doesn't enroll at the earliest have to stay in nearby PGs. Girls hostel has all double sharing rooms with attached washroom and AC or non AC is optional. Mess is common for all girls and food served is average actually.

UPESAT and also JEE Main Scores are taken into account to get admission here. Students coming through UPESAT gets some discount whole students who are coming through other assessment test doesn't qualify for the scholarships but admission if they stand on university criteria are given admission.

Our faculties are UPES are rightly the best people because not just they have experience but have trained students for placements in past too. Next semester our placements will start and our faculties have already asked us to be ready for corporate training. Team work is already taught by them through assignments and group projects.

Since cafes are only two inside, we have to hop outside for cafes such as Maggie Point, Vinayak Momos ane Labdhi Cafe. For views we have Koti Sunrise and Suicide Point. So, our college location is best to hangout.
