Course Curriculum Overview

The teaching methods are very good in this university when compared to other. The course curriculum is well designed. But with be studying through the 4 years,no rest, only studying.So get prepared before joining.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 187000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Many companies give offers in the form of internships and give stipend to the students.Huge companies visit for selection like Deloitte,Amazon,TCS and many more. This university students gets many internship offers.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for Btech 1 st semester is 102000 and 2nd semester is 85000.There is no hostel facility available in Kumbakonam campus.The Main campus, Thanjavur campus has the hostel facility which costs about 20000-40000 based on your requirement.

Campus Life

The Campus life is 3/5. The days will pass by studying,not by enjoying and the life is routine.There are no events or clubs and you get bored and this college needs much improvement in infrastructure(Kumbakonam Campus)

Admission

I have applied for other colleges like VIT,SRM..I got admission in those colleges too. But my first preference is for sastra University.To get an admission in sastra,you need to have good percentile in JEE mains(No need of JEE adv)

Faculty

The teachers are very friendly with the teachers.They will be helping you to solve your doubts at any time. this university conducts three mid exams in a semester named CIA 1,2,3 and the final semester exams.

Night Life

The Kumbakonam Campus doesn't have much facilities like hostel,gym and many.The main campus has many facilities.The campus timings are 8:45 int the morning and 5:15 evening generally and varies day to day in a week.

Life and Difficulties at SRM University from honest POV

Placement Experience:

the placements start from third year. there are multiple oncampus companies that visited like juspay,zs associates, cognizant,accenture,capegemini and etc. the average package is aroung 5,00,000 the percentage of student is around 60-70 around this year but its still going on by this march.

The placements for me started from end of 3rd year itself. The highest package was around 8 LPA from Mr. Cooper with additional 2L bonus if you stayed for 2 years. Avg. package was 4 LPA. 10-15 good and decent companies visited here.

The reason i choose this college because of the really good placements available in it. The different between the college i applied for and sastra will be Reputation: In my surroundings sastra have a great goodwill and Reputation compared to other colleges. Placements: sastra provide wide range of placements and opportunities while other colleges have limited options. Academic: sastra provide a great faculty , other diploma to add on which adds great value and research opportunities. I applied for sastra and srm in trichy, i got selected in both the colleges but i choose sastra Over srm. I choose sastra because of it's quality education. No, i did not get rejected for the colleges i applied for. Admission process start with first registration in sastra offical website then they will send email for the selected students for counselling where you have to pay the sem fees (45000) and the admission fees(10000) through demand draft or online banking.
