Course Curriculum Overview
Projects are asked to be made and they require you to use your knowledge practically. Some profs dont send their notes on time and some dont send at all. I feel if they sent it regularly studying would be easier.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tution fees is 1lakh Semester fee 27250 Mess advance fee is 19000 Caution money is 8000 Convocation fee is 3000 Admission fee is 3800 The last three that i mentioned were like only during admission time. I am a general student with no scholarships. There are many types of scholarships but mostly for economically weak people.
Campus Life
Varchas-sports fest, Prometeo-tech fest, Ignus-cult fest, Sandstone- entrepreneurial fest. Books are pretty much available and even if they arent profs usually suggest books which will be avaliable online. We have a lab where tech clubs work on their large scale projects. Sports facilities are immaculate. Just no swimming pool.
Admission
I gave exams like bits and manipal and other private colleges as well but i chose iit jodhpur because mainly its an iit. The fees is better, freedom is more and again its an iit. There are meets between iits in Dec, tech, sports, and cult, really awesome experiences. IITians are wayyy more than just smart people lol.
Faculty
There is a mid sem exam and a major exam in a particular sem, with some quizzes and/or assignments between them depending on the instructor and the course. Profs might take surprise quizzes as well but again very prof dependent. Grading system is relative so like only a handful people might fail a course. Grading could also be absolute but mostly its relative. Exams are not difficult if studied properly lol. Cse dept profs are good
Night Life
Gyms in every hostel, and also a better and bigger gym at the sports complex. Cafeteria near hostels and also a place called Shamiyana. Library(doesnt have a large capacity) but air conditioned and good for studying. Campus has just a out timing of i guess 10pm, no in timing and hostels have a in timing of 2am, but like u can go outside after 2am as well lol u just have to write that in a hostel register which your hostel guard will give u. Locality is very remote so i wont suggest roaming around outside campus at night
