IIT Gandhinagar campus life

In mathematics, the first sem has 4 core courses and the second sem has 2 core courses. After that, there is no core; only disciplinary electives and open electives. After 1 month of the semester, the exam starts. Then there is a mid-semester break of about 9 days. After that, the classes start again.

IIT Gandhinagar conducts a summer internship program every year in the months of May, June, and July. They provided approximately an INR 15,000 stipend. After the end of the internship, they gave prize money to the top three interns.

In the second year of the MSc, many adtech companies come to the campus to hire students. In 2025, 95% students are placed who are interested in the placement of MSc Mathematics. One of my batchmates got an INR 48 LPA package at the Tech company Accenture Japan. And the average Package is an INR 17 LPA.

In IIT Gandhinagar, for the regular MSc per semester fee INR 62,750, then per year it will be INR 1,25,500. For B.Tech. students, it is INR 1,52,750 per semester. For the MSc, per-semester fees are INR 19,150, hostel fees are INR 19,600, and mess and laundry fees are INR 24,400. If you have SC, ST, or PWD with a 40% disability category, then you are eligible for a tuition fee waiver (i.e., INR 10,000 less you pay).

The Blithchorn conducts an annual feast every year. In addition to that, there are many more festivals. IIT Gandhinagar has a well-equipped sports complex for its students. It has a central library with books and journals. There is a medical centre also in campus.

Hostel rooms are very good at IIT Gandhinagar. There are single, double, and triple shearing rooms as well. In rooms, there is one bed, one table, a chair, and an almirah for each student. In the rooms, there are fans and AC. Mess food is very good in taste and hygienic.

I gave the IIT JAM exam. After clearing the cutoff, I participate in counselling processes. I chose IIT Gandhinagar because the infrastructure of this institute is very good and the faculties are experienced. I also chose other IITs, but according to my JAM rank, I got this IIT.

IIIT Gandhinagar faculties are very good, interactive, frank, and highly educated. In MSc Mathematics first year has 45 students and the second year has 45 students. In Mathematics, there are 16 Faculties, 2 are visiting professors, and 14 are permanent. In mathematics, in a semester, there are 2 exams: mid-semester and end-semester. And the quiz also happened.

IIT Gandhinagar nightlife is very good and safe. The Central Library is open from 10 am to 2 am on working days and Saturdays, Sundays it opens from 10 am to 12 pm. There is a mini library in the hostel which is open 24 hours. There is no timing for the hostel entry or exit. On the campus, there are 4 outlets which open from morning to night, 3 am. IIT Gandhunagar has Lalminear.
