Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose this course to help myself prepare for the emerging world of AI and prepare myself to be able to earn well.As for the area of improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods, i don't like that they teach on the blackboard. i personally have a problem with eyesight, which makes me difficult to see what is written on the blackboard.

Placement Experience

3

From the 3rd year, students start preparing for internships. Companies like Accenture,Wipro, etc. visits the campus (through senior info). For amazon, we are told that they don't visit the campus for internship and placement, so we have to do it off-campus. The highest package offered is 53.5LPA. and the average package is 6.5LPA. My plans after getting the degree is to get a job first and after gaining experience, further achieve higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

For the college fees, around 3.1L is paid (if admission is through COMEDK exam) and the college fees varies according to the mode of admission. for management, according to my peers, they said that they pay around 5L yearly. And for the SC,ST category,i'm not really aware of it. For the scholarship opportunities, National Scholarship Portal is there. But,there is no separate scholarship given by the college.

Campus Life

4

Unfortunately, they don't give fresher's party but there is Chiguru which is celebrated on a grand scale at the month of Nov.As for the facilities provided in the library, i am well satisfied by it. The books, journals, wifi facilities are really good in the library. As for the classrooms,it still needs improvements. They use blackboards for teaching and writing notes which is not really suitable with today's fast growing gen, and when the professor wipes it, the blackboard gets smudged and it becomes diificult to see what is written in the blackboard. And for the sports, gym facilities are provided. The college has music club, fashion club, robotics club, sports club, etc. There is also tedxCit club in the campus where there are different assigned talented students running the club.

Hostel Facilities

2

Girl's hostel: The hostel room is a 3-sharing room, where bathroom is attached for every room. There is mess at the top floor, separate washing area at the rooftop, where we can wash and dry our clothes. The facilities provided are not that satisfying because lot of the facilities provided are not in proper working condition. Boy's hostel: The hostel bedrooms are almost same as the girls but for the boys , the bathroom are not attached. They also provide laundry in which Mon,Tues,Wed are for girls and Thurs,Fri,Sat are for the boys. Considering the amount paid for the hostel and the facilities provided, renting a pg is more affordable and

Admission

Actually, compared to other colleges, this college had a better reputation in comparison with other colleges and it was in the range of my rank in COMEDK. I got scholarship in LPU,but LPU had an image that it is all about parties,so i didn't go for LPU. i got other scholarships from 2 different colleges in Delhi but i preferred to study in south india and mainly Bangalore because it is the IT hub of India. I got admission in Cambridge Institue of technology through COMEDK exam with 48k rank in the 3rd round. Most of the students are from CET Exam and management.

Faculty

4

About the faculty-to-student ratio,i personally feel it is okay but for classes like mentoring, there is no faculty assigned. The faculty to student relationship is good for almost all departments but for the CSE dept.,some of the faculties may not be as great. Specially Manjunath Sir for CSE dept.,he is a litlle controlling type inside classroom which becomes somewhat toxic. As for the exams, i haven't given my exams yet, but there will be internals from november. But,according to the seniors, the exams are not that difficult as long as student studies regularly and studies from the notes given in classrooms.

Night Life

2

The gym is great, cafeteria is also good but not that big. The campus has a big ground and that's it for the whole campus. As for the hostels, the girls hostel gate closes at 7pm and for the boy's hostel, the gate closes at 9pm. The food provided in the hostel mess is not that great but it's okay-okay. As for some of the famous hangout places near the college, there is Your cafe club, Brewcha , Kapoor's Cafe etc. Talking about late night roaming, it's better not to go to places at night. There are incidents where students are being followed in bikes by gangs and they are looted.

Placement Experience:

the placements oppurtunity are there and you can grab a very good paackage from here. The highest is around 44 , average is 7 lpa. Students become eligible for final placemnts from 6-7 semester. Companies like thermo fisches , fractal , belc , hitachi and many other, have visited. The percentage of placemnt is quite high but people grabbing more than 30lpa is very few. after degree i want to go for job directly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Honestly I don't a thing about the relevance of the curriculum, this curriculum thingy has been changing every now and then in our college I hope atleast they stick to one curriculum and make us study that and don not change it further. As I've mentioned before, I was not informed in prior about the syllabus so obviously there's no specifi aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course. I think the curriculum will prepare me to face the world way more wisely and strategically than how I'd deal with it otherwise. I think one area they can improve is in physics, they can give us more seminars, projects and stuff to check our understanding. That would really help a lot of people to be creative and help people to get the exposure. Coming to the difficulty level of the paper, I know nothing because I haven't written the sem exam yet so, I know nothing. But, can guarantee one thing!! Be careful, cause as per sources our college is known for it's tough question paper, so y'all better study.

In UVCE placement rate is almost good but we need more effort on self study . Most of the students works in internship in 7 or 8 th sem it means before graduation then they will got good placements. Some of you directly god good placements without working in internship.. Because putting there efforts..
