GEU is an Illustrious University!

Computer Science Engineering from GEU is no less than some novelty. Studies are excellent and then job security is amazing and hence I want to be this way. College timings are fine as well as morning to noon for 4 days in a week and for a day or two we have labs and those need to be attended strictly.

From ISRO to Amazon, every company has intenrships designation to GEU students. Deloitte too now has joined hands and is probably the best that has happened. University has a cell for internships and those who want, they can apply there and confirm it.

Placements are getting better and better as this year we had a record breaking placements as over 20 students got 40 lakhs or more in placements. One can see the boards of that as soon as they enter Dehradun from whichever way.

I took admission here in 2024 and the fees of 500000 was paid in the first year. Also, an admission fees of 50000 was paid too. From second year onwards for getting 8.5 CGPA, I got 10% scholarship and whoever scores that much is qualified for this scholarship. Besides that Uttarakhand Students get scholarship and SC/ST students too get some scholarship.

Technical campus is now odd main campus and all the courses related to technical studies are hosted there. It's a campus that has a canteen, 7-8 buildings, multiple seminar halls and what not. Yes playing area is less but apart from that everything is in abundance here. Engineering department has many societies and robotics and coding are two societies of which I am also a part of.

IITs I knew are not my thing as first the life is full of stress and then getting in there is also tough so I straightaway came to GEU after my 12th results. A small interview round and admission were confirmed. One can also apply online as well but I chose offline.

For technical studies technical faculties of highest class or order have been hired by GEU. All of them have put their best foot forward in teaching and in their personal career as well. So, from research work which they have done over the years it's amazing to see how good they have been with thay. Teaching from them is a complimentary and rather service to the society.

College has a small gym otherwise in Clement town there are 2 gyms. It's an area which is captured by students and therefore one will find a lot of street food and cafes nearby. Raasta Cafe and Buddha Temple cafes are my personal favourite.
