This college is the 2nd best B.Tech college in UP after IIT and its placement is also good. One has to clear JEE for admission in HBTU in which one has to get rank in thousand for CSE .Those with lower rank can try the sports round once, in which there are more chances of losing admission in lower branch like FT OT. The other colleges which i applied to were IET Lucknow , IIIT Una , IIIT Dharwad and other lower IIITs . I choose over those since this colleges reputation and placements spoke for itself they had a very good track record regarding this course and many famous companies have been coming here repeatedly. The admission in this college is through HBTU e-counselling site which is a standalone website managed by HBTU itself . It has a registration fees of 2500 rupees is non refundable . There you fill your choice of courses . The branch is alloted according to your JEE MAINS rank and your preference list . After the seat allotment letter you have to visit college and there you will have to submit your documents then you will be given a provisional admission letter and you are given a choice to upgrade your branch to the courses you have selected in your preference list. i took this college because of my jee rank i also applied for jossa and csab but i dont get any college there . college process is simple you have to give jee exam and get good rank then apply for hbtu couslling which cost around 2500 and if you qualify you will get admission here . cutoff is around 1 lac for general and there is also reservation in the college...Read More

I only applied on josaa counselling and then in HBTU. My rank was not good enough to get a confirm seat in any core branch . Then I opted for HBTU counselling which was providing better seat in that rank if compared .Then onwards I didn't apply in any of the college. To get admission in HBTU Kanpur, you can register in the college counselling and fill the desired seats. Counselling goes for three round.If not get selected, you can try last time in spot round if seats are vacant. Only students with jee mains result will get admission....Read More
