Likes

It’s good it you want leverage with attendance. They are lenient in that point .
If you want to enjoy freeness and bunk lectures then also it’s not really strict.

Dislikes

Bad canteen , smelly food , internet doesnt work in canteen
More than half of the kids sit around the campus free canteen is fully occupied with students sitting free bunking
Bad infrastructure. Fans dont work properly. Benches have nails sticking out of them .

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is not hard ofcourse but it's pretty old fashioned and non modernistic . No technology inculcation in the curriculum. Difficulty level is not much . There should be modernisation of the curriculum. More technology inclusion . More tech based learning . More practical education.

Fees and Financial Aid

Total fees for Bcom hons annually is 34900 approximately and 3400 is the examination fee that goes to panjab university and differs from course to course so annually total fees for bcom hons is 38000 per year approx

Campus Life

They usually organise fests anually wherein different singers come in . ( supposedly) , there are different societies and clubs that students can join. More gimmicky than reality . Useful in killing time easily . Good for sports though . Good sports opportunities.

Admission

I thought that this college was better in infrastructure, faculty , campus life , students . But perhaps i was wrong about it . It is worse than other Colleges . Lacks basic facilities.i applied is sd college , didnt get admission because my cut off went off by 2 percent , later they just gave admissions through referrals which i didnt have . If you have got 80 plus percent in boards you will get into here . Easily .

Faculty

Students dont come to class so student to faculty ratio is okay . Cant say about the exams since i have not attended any . But from what i have heard is exams are not really big deal if you have connections . But they do kind off harass kids by failing them by few numbers .

Night Life

I am not sure about hostel but overall the area is pretty safe . Since it is one of the most posh areas in the city . Haven't heard good things about hostel accommodation. Canteen isnt very good with food

Chitkara has one of thr most strogest placements records in the north of india and with the students eligibility from the campus recruitment from the 6th semester onwards. the highest pacage of 1.1 cr in amazon and the avgerage package of 10lpa with 2000+ recruiters visiting and students secure 70-80 percents of placements.

Placement Experience:

Chitkara have a strong placement record, with students become eligible for placements in 5th semester. Top recruiters include the big4 and banks like hdfc icici axis. The highest package reaches 10-12lpa and avg around 5-6LPA and 90% students got placed

Learning and Growth at PGGC-11

Placement Experience:

The students can sit for placements in their final year of course. The tricity based companies come for campus placements for jobs that need strong communication skills and basic knowledge of their domain. The maximum package that was offered goes up to 5 LPA, and the average packages are lower than this arounf 3 LPA. I wanted to go for Post Graduation so did not opt for campus placement.

THE LIFE AT DAV COLLEGE

Placement Experience:

We do have a training and placement cell which is run mostly run by both students and teachers. Students with good percentile can sit for placements and can get place into companies which are mostly from BPO and sales background. Students are eligible for campus placements in their 5th semester. Companies which have came in our college in 2024-2025 are Sri ram insurance , Kotak insurance , Planet spark , De shaw , Zomato etc. Highest package offered is around 5 LPA and average package is around 1.5 LPA. I have planned to go for higher studies after my graduation, most probably I will be doing MBA.

Placement Experience:

In the last semester that is 6th semester the placement drive is started. Every year 3-4 companies come to the college and 50% of the students are placed from the students who appeared in the drive. Decathlon came who gave the highest offer for 35000 per month. Profile they offer is analyst, client relation, assistant etc . I will now pursue my Post graduation

Every thing about PU USOL

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I am a commerce student as well as I am doing CA so I selected to do BCom from USOL as it has fewer restrictions than regular college as discussed classes there were 7days classes in which important topics was covered by well-qualified educator and also USOL gives us the opportunity to give feedback on classes If we take about papers USOL students only give main semester paper there was not any practical or mst for Bcom internal assessment Mark are based on the mark of theory or main sem papers. And they also give notes to students for studies.

The best college in india

Entrance Preview:

My admissions was done on the basis of marks scored in 12 th standard. As I had scored 80 percent marks I got admission on merit basis, as the seats are limited to 250 approx. This college is the best college in the city its comes under Punjab university which is recognized in entire world. So I was determined to get admission in this college and luckily I got the admission.

Real And Raw

I have apllied for DU but delhi was far away from my hometown i didn't choose DU , for this college I have keen interest in sports and in militry and the great alumni have attracted me for this college. You have to fill a form after that you will get the notification through mail for physical councelling and completion of physical councelling you will get payment link of whole year fee on your mail id within a week and after that you are enrolled . THE LIFE AT DAV COLLEGE

As DAV is ranked one of the best instituions in north region for Bcom degree. As I have done my schooling from chandigarh only getting a college in chandigarh was the best option for me and I had heard about DAV a lot as it offers good studies with extra co curricular activites like NCC, NSS and many other societies.
