The curriculum was thoughtfully designed, which blends classical theories with contemporary perspecetive and also provided a strong foundation for both research and critical thinking. Teaching is well structured and student centered, where faculty ensures conceptual clarity. Examinations are bit challenging but with consistent preprations and self studying can achieve greater success. the faculty helps but efforts from our side is necessary.

they do offer placements for both ug and pg. But For Pg Structured palcements are limited. For Pg students, especially in commerce and management placement oppartunites are offered. Companies like Federal Bank, Deloitte mostly offered. Since we had no placements, iam focusing currently on content creation and writing, actively working with online media due to my creative interest.

For MA English (aided) the first year fees was 10840 and the second year fees was 8353 in which the total fee structure for theprogramme was 19193 Eventhough having a quality in education and infrastructure, the affordable fee structure was accessible for students from everybackground also they provided fee reduction for students from economically backward category as well which was upto 50 percent of total.

There is a annual fest known to be the Heartian fest for whole college. Apart from that department fest like fresher's day, association days are conducted. when i was applying for my master's i applied some reputed instituations like St. Teresa's Ernakulam, and i had fair chances of getting in but i choose SHC instead because ofthe NAAC A+ Accreditation, campus environment and ambience, also the curriculam and space for academic exploartion. The faculty were approchable and deeply knowlegeable, always encouraging independent thoughts. i particularly appreciates the prominance that they gave towards self learning and dissertation works, which helped me to sharpen my analytical and writing skills.

The campus gates usually closes by 8pm, as the library works till 8 and also after the academic colllege hours, there is provision to use the gym which is for both students and public. After the collegehours the serene backwaters behind the college offers a peacful place to sit and enjoy.
