Course Curriculum Overview

5

The focus on computer science in my course is more than what B.Tech offers which is pretty impressive for me as a computer science passionate. it also decreases my load to catch up on market skills rather than giving my time to subjects like chemstry I dont have interest in. The curriculum gives us a hold on the concepts, programming languages, and the core functioning, which helps us a lot to pick up new skills from elsewhere as our conceptual core is strong, I persoanlly think that JAVA should be introduced again in our curriculum the way it was before, as today we need to know JAVA for many obvious reasons. The frequency of exams is not that high which makes it light, but as we get only one chance to get out internal marks through that test sometimes it becomes hazard if u miss or score low in the test. (But, tthe faculty might help u in this too).

Placement Experience

3

From the third year, students become eligible for campus placements. The average package from our college placement has been 3-4 LPA over the years, 7.1+LPA being the highest. Companies like Deloitte, Amazon, ISA Global, Planet Spark, D.E. Shaw & Co., Wipro, Zomato, McD, Maruti Suzuki, Indigo, ICICI, Teach for India, Mahindra, and Byjus have visited our campus. I would like to go for a master's degree or work with an MNC to gain experience.

Fees and Financial Aid

The BSC (Hons.) Computer Science at Mata Sundri College for Women, Delhi University is a course for 3 years (4th year is optional) with total fees of 93,975 rupees.

Campus Life

4

Our college hold more than 15 annual fests including SAARANG. The most engaging season of fests and events is from February till April. Our library has a significant number of books and journals to support our curriculum. We have 8 computer labs and numerous classrooms with a capacity of 60-70 students. Our college actively participates in sports events and fests.

Admission

I applied to other colleges that offer B.Tech, but my lack of focus in the preparation for the JEE landed me in trouble. Just then, I discovered computer science honours, which offers me a core computer curriculum, which attracted me to it. I had to be a 12th pass, and clear any of the two following combinations for cracking my CUET exams for this course: Combination 1: Any 1 subjects from list A + maths/ applied maths + any 2 subjects from list B And then I cracked my CUET, although I wasn't prepared for my CUET examinations either. It was such that I was able to crack it, and I got into this college, and I was quite satisfied, as it was a golden chance to leave my hated subject, chemistry, behind

Faculty

4

The faculty-to-student is good, as its 1:51 for theory and 2:51 for practical classes, which resembles the arrangements in our schools which makes it pretty familiar. Commenting on the faculty, it is difficult to describe them as general because despite the Discipline Specific Faculty, we interact with bunch of other teachers There are only two sets of exams, one is end semester University exams and the second is the mid-semester tests, which decreases our load.

Night Life

3

The nearest spot for hanging out after college is CP( The heart of Delhi), there is not a lot to do near the campus locality as it is a government office premises. Our college has a Gurudwara and has a hostel in the making.

Other Applied Colleges

IIT Delhi - Indian Institute of Technology [IITD] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

The increasing competition in JEE Mains made me decide against pursuing a BTech from IIT or NIT, as syllabus focuses more on core sciences than on my primary interest, Computer Science, in the first year. Competing for institutions like GGSIPU is challeng

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of Hansraj College is quite active. You are eligible to sit for campus placement offers from 5th semester onwards. Companies like Deloitte, capgemini arw frequent recruiters for several posts and positions. The highest offered package is somewhere around 22000 with the average being at 700000-800000. Not all students get placed on campus, however thr hands on training and learning makes you industry ready, making you eligible amd worthy to apply for off campus placement opportunities. Many students prefer not to sit for campus placements and rather opt for higher studies after graduation. I plan to do the same after getting my undergraduate degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think the BSc Statistics (H) offered by Sri Venkateshwara College has been quite relevant and comprehensive in content. The core courses such as probability, inference, regression, and econometrics were the major reasons for opting for the subject of statistics. It provides us in-depth analytical training that is necessary for higher education and work in the field of data, though there is a need for exposure to software/tools as well. The semester-wise examination, which is moderately tough

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is just like any other college, and you need to do a lot of the skill enhancement by yourself. Here, you will learn something, but not everything that is relevant. The professors will teach according to the syllabus, be it really relevant in real life or not. Everything that you will be learning will be relevant for career in this field, but not enough. You require to put some extra efforts to gain more knowledge and practice.

Placement Experience:

Students typically become eligible from 3rd year/6th semester onwards for most companies. Some internships and tech roles may be available to 2nd-year students depending on the company criteria. Placement Percentage: Usually, 70–85% of eligible students get placed, depending on the stream. Highest placement rates are often in Computer Science, Economics, and Commerce streams. My plan is to become a software engineer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Cource curriculum is highly relevant. It covers fundamental and advanced concepts of zoology , which was the main reason I choose this course. Subjects like human physiology, biochemistry, biomolecules, comparative anatomy of vertebrates, animal behaviour, ...etc. are highly interested and align with my interest. Practical components help in developing and understanding concepts more clearly. However, real world applications is limited. Curriculum prepare students well for further academics for PG or other competitive exams. Exam system is conducted at regular intervals with Internal assessment and semester end. Timings are appropriate . Difficulty level is moderate to high.

Hindu College, Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Mathematics)
Reviewed on Jan 6, 2026(Enrolled 2025)

Course Curriculum Overview:

For B.Sc (Hons) Mathematics at Hindu College, the curriculum follows the latest DU UGCF?2022 structure, so it covers both strong theory and some modern applications. The main reason to choose this course is the depth in core areas like Calculus, Algebra, Real Analysis, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations and Probability, which builds a very solid base for higher studies like M.Sc, data science or research. There are six semesters with continuous internal assessment plus end?semester exams, so students study regularly instead of only before finals. Exams are usually moderate to difficult because questions are concept?based, but the pattern is fair and gives weightage to assignments, tutorials and attendance. Overall, the course is quite comprehensive and relevant for careers in teaching, analytics, government exams and higher academics, though adding more practical projects, programming and real?life modelling could make it even more industry?oriented
