WIMDR, Mumbai Review for Incoming Batch

WIMDR, Mumbai is a reputed brand name in the market. I only applied to WIMDR, mumbai on the basis of my CMAT percentile. The industry connect of the institute is also great. Companies like Deloitte, EY, KPMG, JPMC, HSBC, Morgan Stanley come to the campus for internships as well as placements.

The business design course is absolutely dynamic. It integrates technology with business fundamentals and its association with the four verticals, i.e., finance, marketing, operations and HR is epic. Business Design is not only just theory. It is the way of thinking and opening up your shell which opens up your mind in ways you didn't even thought about. You also get to learn strategy and consulting frameworks which allows you to solve complex business problems.

GEP brings the role of operations consultancy for a stipend of INR 1 lakh. Accenture comes for a business analyst role for a stipend of INR 80k. JPMC comes for the role of operations analyst role offering a stipend of INR 90k along with a relocation assistance of INR 50k.

Placements are quite decent. On an average you can expect a package of 8 LPA. However, if you are skilled enough and you have good exposure to real world business cases you can even bag a placement of 15 LPA. GEP brings a package of 16.5 LPA for operations consultancy role.

Yes. There is a group discussion as well as a PI for the interview. GD topics can be based on current affairs as well as they can be abstract. My PI revolved around the lok sabha elections as it was the most recent event in the country in 2024.

The campus is present in Matunga. Nightlife in Matunga is pretty peaceful with King's Circle being at a walking distance where you have good eateries and fast food chains. Almost every service is available in the area around the campus.
