Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course is well structured it contains modules like Quantum Mechanics, Python,C and a newly added course on generative AI for skill development, which covers a good mixture of theory and practicles. The faculty is supportive and the lab is well-equipped. Its a good course if you're serious about physics and want to build usefull skills for the future.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fees for BSc students is around 12000 as of now which covers, tution fees5000, admission fees1000, library fees 800 etc. The college provides concession to special category students so the amount reduces to 3-4k. The college also provides scholarships for merit based students called Sumitomo Scholarship.

Campus Life

4

The Jai Hind College has a vibrant, lively campus life with a ton of student-led clubs like SDU, Gymkhana, E-cell, NSS and alot more. There's always a fest or event happening, keeping the enrgy high year around. Also the college library is gem-with a great mix of fiction, business, and academic books, plus super friendly staff. Facilities like Auditorium and AV room also adds to the experience. The college charges fees for gymkhana, but most of the times it is closed so the stuents dont get to experience the facilites over there.

Admission

The admission process is quite simple for aided courses like BA, BCOM and BSc the students have to fill up the required details in the admission and wait for the merit lists. The cut-offs is usually low, so once u have your name in the merit list, you have to visit the college for document submission and verifcation and after succesful payment of fees your admission is secured.

Faculty

4

The student teacher ratio is 20:1. The faculty is quite approachable, they encourage students to participate in various summer schools, workshops and other co-curricular activites, along with that they always guide us for competitive exams and go out of their way to help students with any problems. The course is designed in way that it covers syllabus for IITJAM and other competitive exams.

Night Life

4

Jai Hind College is located in heart of mumbai i.e. south bombay that too near Marine Drives which makes it a perfect place to unwind after lectures. The location is quite premium and it feels secure even late nights. Its surrounded by iconics spots like the Nariman point,Pizza By the Bay and famous cafes like Mockingbird cafe and Theobrama, Cafe Mondegar- a perfect place for post-study chills.

The placments for Bachlor's were not that great. They are more in the favour of Commerce applicants. The maximum package during my time was 400000 which is really less than the market. Also, the placments and the roles are really average.
