MBA at IIM Ranchi

The academic setup and faculty for Marketing was a key factor. Professors focus on framewroks and concepts that go beyond textbook basics, are industry-updated and helped greatly during my summer internship.

Promising placement opportunites are provided. The details can be looked up in the publicly available placement report. 100% placement was secured. The internship is of 2 months after the first year. Projects and tasks differe basis domains and industries.

Students do a summer internship as part of the Summer Internship Programme (SIP) after their first year of MBA. Recruitment drive for the same takes place accordingly. Final placement offers are secured basis SIP PPOs or by securing an offer in the final placement drive. The Placement Committee provides complete support and assistance.

The fee paid per year was Rs 9,00,000. Hostel and Tuition fee were paid at once and mess fee (dependin on the vendor) on top of that. Total fees for the course amounts close to 20 lakhs. Merit-based scholarships are offerred, the details of which can be found on the college website easily. Education loans are easily available.

The major fests include Rush, and Soul Carnival. Library and reading room facilities along with discussion rooms across academic blocks are available in plenty. Other resources such as JSTOR can be availed as well. Campus life is vibrant.

I had been alotted a single room both years. Separate hostel wings for boys and girls were provided. LAN connectivity is provided to each hostel room. The mess food is aruguably decent with special cuisines offered occasionally.

A key factor was the setup for Marketing and distance as well. Among other new IIMs secured this was the most feasible. Admissions are taken basis CAT percentile and GD/PI. More on the same can be easily researched on Youtube.

Some of the most experienced faculty members in India with an impressive experience in the industry as well. Some of the courses like BOP and Rural Marketing were really immersive and offered opportunities to a lot of consumers.

The admission process includes CAT and a GD/PI post that. The process may differ a bit each year depending on the college setting the same for that year. Telegram groups can be referred for being up-to-date with current affairs for the interview and a lot of insitutions offer GD/PI mocks.

NIghtlife arguably doesn't end at an MBA college. It was same here as well. Cafeteria, gyms, happiness corners are open to be availed till 3AM. Campus timinngs required students to enter campus by 9:30 pm as the campus in the city-outskirts
