CMRIT Review

The college is good. Campus is well maintained. It is not very big though. The classrooms can be made bigger and better with new technologies. There should be more counsellors. The teachers are behind you 24/7.

The course curriculum is good , we have one annual fest. Each semester lasts for about 5 months. We have three tests and the average marks are considered for internals. Towards the end we have an external exam. Average of both internals and externals are considered.

Placements and job opportunities for computer science and information sciences are really good. College is known for it. They have pretty decent placements , student can rest assured. They ensure the students an moulded and placed in a well known company. Our college also provides internships at quite a lot of places for students. My experience was great and my stipend was 5k

There is one annual event called cultura , it is the most awaited and best event of the college. There are sport events which give the students an opportunity to take part. Apart from these there are a few science events. There aren’t many events.

The fee structure is feasible for the ones who come through CET , it’s a bit more for students who come through COMEDK. Management fee is a bit expensive. In addition there are cast preferences, they charge the fee accordingly.

There must be a scholarship / loan facility I believe, not that I am aware of as I have not availed any. I think we’ll have to avail loans in banks outside privately. Not heard of the college providing any loans. Scholarships , of course.

Labs are well equipped and maintained. The lab instruments are intact and usable time to time. Extracurricular activities like project making and a special program called TYL is available which is helpful in getting jobs later. They have many sports events as well.

I heard the alumni are kept in touch. They have special occasions for alumni to come back and live the student life. Senior students are helpful as they share their experience and give us good guidance.

Got in through CET , once the college was allotted on KCET website, I confirmed and payed the fee online. Once done , I went to the college and got the admission done. The admission process was quick , took all my documents, verified and I got my seat.

Faculty of basic science is good. They are responsible and are very concerned about each and every student. Won’t let the student go off track. Strict if need be. Furthermore the faculty of Computer science and Information science are the best. The college is known for it.
