Course Curriculum Overview

5

I choose psychology as i want to be their for everyone. I want to be a shoulder that they can lean on. I want to help others that i didn't get.psychology help us to make sense that every problem have two sides like a coin has two sides. When we stand in their positions we can understand why they act like that. And what caused them to act like that. The teachers are well organized and the classes are more interesting. We could never feel bored in those classes because every topic will make us curious. The exam are happening after only 3 months of classes. The semester should be 6 months but we only get classes for 3.months

Internships Opportunities

5

In psychology department the internship usullay held in trivandrum mental health hospital. The students who wish to do internships this will be a great experience. We can interact with doctors and we can slowly and comfortably starts communication with patients.while other departments held their internships in several companies or organizations

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is 1300 for an year. And the tution fees is 1500 and the caution deposites is 360. The development fee is 1000.Categories like SC, ST was more prioritized and the college will only afford small amount of money as their year fees, tution fees or any other compulsory charges. The general community have scholarship like Ews and the community who was other than general like SC, ST, OBC or any other community have fund scholarships while general community only get exam fees reduction.

Campus Life

5

The college always hold program's in onam, Christmas, Valentine's day, women's day, new year, ethinic day or victory day. The library have a large collection of books it every department. And they have a good collection of novels, poems, stories, journals etc. Our college has sports like kho-kho, shuttle, cricket, short put, football and the girls were pretty much good in it. We have clubs like environment clubs, arts clubs and we have those NSS and NCC practices too in our college

Admission

I applied so many colleges which have psychology like University college, MG college, SN college and women's college. But i always loved to study in women's college trivandrum because once when i came to women's college along with my sister I saw how the programs or any other things were organized by girls. In school teachers only choose boys for everything but here. We can participate with or without being choosed. And the ambience in more beautiful than anything. Women's college is my first option and i got already selected here in my trial allotment. The eligibility here is marks of 12th standard and students should have atleast good mark for admission.

Faculty

5

The college faculties are mostly good. There is good relation between the faculties and the students. They can really rely on the faculties. In psychology department the teachers are mostly councilors. So students from other departments often come to psychology department for advices or anything. Every faculties even if they were teaching or non teaching staffs they were good with the students. There is no specific faculties that i don't like. And with the exams, the teachers will cover the portions. Not so many people fail in their exams. Only few of them.

Night Life

3

Even if it is women's college, we still have gyms and. Most of the students who were in sports or like to maintain body will go their. The canteen and libraries are more calm. And we can just spend hour in library without being distracted with any of the sounds. Our college has more places to go and sit with friends will chit chatting and no one will ever disturb us. The hostels near the college has the timing of 5 pm. While PGs are allowed anytime to get in. We love to hangout in the music department It's more like a hide out a hide out everyone goes and outside the college there is cafes, supermarkets.

I choosed this degree for me to pursue higher studies in uk or foreign country to study cosmetics related field. So for that bsc chemistry degree must have But this curriculum doesn't teach something base to that I think so.. For further studies the teachers need improvement to teach certain topics some teachers didn't even prepare to study students and lab safety is not in the lab.Because of the teaching the portions are done in last minutes and often exams are difficult in major subjects so they need to improve their study methods and often approach students nicely..

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is almost best. Curriculum doesn't influenced me in deciding this course. Curriculum should add internships. Currently there is no mandatory internship, if students are interested they can do internship during vacations. As we are learning psychology which need to be practiced in real world settings, curriculum must include real world training to help students understand things more effectively. Currently intervel between exams are non existent. Internal exams, then semester exams, you blink once, next internal exams, followed by semester exams. Syllabus is understandable, can learn if you try. Exams are also manageable. Real world examples and stories can be included in teaching methods, as psychology is related to humans and human interaction, to get better grasp of concepts. Rather than focusing on passing exam, should focus on the concepts and understand them in-depth. There are a lot of theories to study by heart. And there are many repetitive topics that overlap, but in different semesters.

I feel in love with mathematics in plus two time. The coursee are more application based when compared to other. Out college being an autonomous college has good grip to keep up to the level of good education. Overall teaching methods and syllabus are very good. Frequency of exams are troublesome during the last time of year because all the programmes like youth festival annual day etc come together

My course is Bsc Biotechnology. It is a research associated course. Its main scope is in research. But in every industry let it be medical or industrial a biotechnologist is required. I would like more practical knowledge than theory knowledge in this course as it is needed to be implemented in labs hands on experience is essential. Exams are conducted every 6 months as semester. Class tests and model exams are conducted frequently. Assignments, projects, seminar ,etc.. are given every month.

I chose Bsc electronics, it has an attractive curriculum and some of them are influenced me in some way. The facilities are well-known about the curriculum preparing and all. The current curriculum is good but it needs some changes. Include more practicals is one of my suggestion. Teaching methods are good it doesn't need any change. Exams are conducted by Kerala University, so the college can't do anything in main exams but the college will complete all the portions before the exam date it is sure.
