- This college is the one of the leading Pharmacy college in West Bengal according to its study facilities and Affordability. In this college the course fees is less than other private colleges.
- Our college have well qualified Faculties. It is also a 100% Ragging free college. All teachers are phd qualified and have a great skill in teaching and guidaning students to their carrier path.
- Our college also have good lab and library facilities. In my fourth year study I don't need to buy an single book all books are available in Library. Campus Life of our college is also very good and refreshing.
Dislikes
- Our college need to improve its administrative services and office staffs. And our college campus is very small
- Our college also don't have any sports ground. We need a sports ground for annual sports.
- And our college placement cell is little bit weaker than other pharmacy college.
Course Curriculum Overview
The Pharmacy course curriculum is very relevant. The course is all about drug chemistry and biology. We need to study organic chemistry, Medicinal chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical analysis, pharmaceutics this aspects influenced me to choose this course. The exam are one in 6 months and the difficulty level is moderate
Internships Opportunities
Our course curriculum have a 1 month industrial training in pharmaceutical industries. Our college offered industrial training in various companies like gluconate, aurio, alkem, albert david etc . I completed my 1 month training from alkem laboratories. We have to submit two project work in 7th and 8th semester and students get guidance from the teachers.
Placement Experience
In our B.pharm course placement session starts after completing 7th semester. Our college offered placement in various leading pharmaceutical companies like alkem, torrent, Cipla, zydus, Glenmark, Mendine, Stassenbarg etc in various post like production, QC, QA, marketing. Average package of our college is around 1.8-2.5LPA and Highest package is 3.5-4.5 LPA. 40-45% Students choose higher studies and 35% Student placed from our college. My plan is to go for higher studies after getting my B.pharm degree
Fees and Financial Aid
B.pharm is a four year course with 8 semesters. In this college You will pay 45000 thousand rupees per semester. So Yearly you will pay approx 90000 rupees. The Total Course fees in my time is 357000 rupees including all library and sports fees.
Campus Life
Our college organizes annual sports in every year and also a conference in every year and also small seminar in 3-4 months gap. Library has 10-12k books stock and journals also. Our college have strong extra curricular activities we collect mar points by doing this activities.
Admission
I also applied for GNIPST, NSHM, B.C ROY COLLEGE OF PHARMACY. I got admission confirmation from B.c Roy college but I choose this college for its facilities and the location. I didn't make other Colleges because of my rank in Wbjee examination. Our college takes admission on the rank of Wbjee and 10% from management quota. Wbjee is the most preferred examination for admission in B.pharm. If your rank is under 25k you will get admission in this college easily.
Faculty
Our college have good faculty members. All faculty members are qualified. The Total faculty members of our college is 28 and the student is 100 in B.pharm course. Th faculty members are very good and easy to talk and helpful in nature. They solve the problems of the student very politely. Dr. Sailee Chowdhury, Dr. Sudipta Chakraborty, Mr. Pallab Dasgupta, Ms. Saswati. T. Sasmal are some top faculty members of our college. They have a strong knowledge on their subjects and teach the student very politely. In Four year of study we have total 8 semester exams and semester exams are very tough in our college. Syllabus is very vast and also have Practical exams. The course curriculum is very relevant and good in this college. Our college provides quality pharmacist.
Night Life
Our college location is very good and impressive. You get all daily need shop around this. Our college don't have hostel facility. But you get many pg and Hostel around the location. Our locality is very safe and secure and also have malls and cafes.
