Course Curriculum Overview

5

It is a general course on biology so we can go for specialisation in Master's course , for example Microbiology, Physiology, Genetics, etc. Though it includes everything relevant but it is not according to real world scenarios but more of theoretical knowledge. It should have more practical based subjects and field trips to understand the theory better Exams are usually held once per semester and the level of difficulty is easy to moderate

Internships Opportunities

3

Companies : Deloitte , Ey, WorkIndia, Campus2Corporate Stipend : 5-10K per month, some of them were unpaid Roles offered : Sales manager, Social media coordinator, Graphic designer, HR Executive, etc Projects and outcomes : taking interviews, maintaining excel sheets, making reports , etc

Placement Experience

2

Usually internships are posted on the official telegram group of college placement cell . We can get internships starting from second semester but most of them are for roles releveant for commerce students like HR, Accountant, etc. Job placements starts from third year onwards where one can apply for the company he/she feels qualified for. Average placement package is around 4-5 lacs. Some companies do offer 10-12 Lacs too but not for our course i.e. zoology hons Companies visited : Deloitte, EY, WorkIndia, etc

Fees and Financial Aid

Year wise fee paid by me was 14778 General category- exam fees 1100 per semester However fees is same for all the categories except PWD - who has to pay yearly fee of 125Rs Direct scholarships are not given by the college however a student can apply on the National Scholarship Portal and avail the benefits of upto 80-90% concession on the fees

Campus Life

5

Every year an annual fest is held : Mosaic. generally lasting for 2-3 days. Every department also has its respective annual fests giving opportunity to students for participation. There are a large no of clubs and socities for every activity like fine arts society, debate society, etc Sports activities are also offered extensively and every year inter departmental competitions are held there are also many social groups, clubs etc run entirely by students for specific concerns like girls safety, etc

Admission

This college ranks 3rd in whole north campus also its zoology faculty is ranked 3rd all over India. Earlier I had applied for BSc hons. Home Science from Lady Irwin College. I did get admission in that college but it was situated in off campus plus it had no good records for placement. Admission process of my college is quite easy you just need to apply into delhi university and when the cutoff list is declared you'll know if you are qualified for a course in a particular college and then you can pay the fees leading to a complete online process.

Faculty

4

Faculty to student ratio in my course was 72 : 1 but in other courses it may go upto 100 : 1 during normal classes. but during practicals, it is 20 : 1 Faculty members are kind and cooperate students in every decision and problems the students might face. I really liked some of my teachers - Dr. Ojit, Dr. Charu Dogra Rawat as they helped us every time and were very kind I did not like Dr. Smita Bhatia , as though she taught very well with full dedication but she did end up taking long classes even during holidays, and she was very strict in terms of practical and their checking Exams are conducted once every semester. Level of examination is not very difficult and can easily be passed if you go through previous year questions well before time. Course curriculum includes all the relevant subjects but I think it should also include some field trips and some practicum based courses

Night Life

5

Around college campus night life is amaxing, every eatery is available easily. gym and cafeteria is there at an affordable cost hostel timings are upto 10 PM famous hangout places near my college are Hudson lane, Tibetan market ( majnu ka tila ) , kamla nagar etc It is very safe to0 roam around at night as the roads are never empty even during night

Other Applied Colleges

lady irwin college | home science

Because Faculty of Ramjas College was ranked 3rd all over India for Zoology so I went for that

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of Hansraj College is quite active. You are eligible to sit for campus placement offers from 5th semester onwards. Companies like Deloitte, capgemini arw frequent recruiters for several posts and positions. The highest offered package is somewhere around 22000 with the average being at 700000-800000. Not all students get placed on campus, however thr hands on training and learning makes you industry ready, making you eligible amd worthy to apply for off campus placement opportunities. Many students prefer not to sit for campus placements and rather opt for higher studies after graduation. I plan to do the same after getting my undergraduate degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think the BSc Statistics (H) offered by Sri Venkateshwara College has been quite relevant and comprehensive in content. The core courses such as probability, inference, regression, and econometrics were the major reasons for opting for the subject of statistics. It provides us in-depth analytical training that is necessary for higher education and work in the field of data, though there is a need for exposure to software/tools as well. The semester-wise examination, which is moderately tough

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is just like any other college, and you need to do a lot of the skill enhancement by yourself. Here, you will learn something, but not everything that is relevant. The professors will teach according to the syllabus, be it really relevant in real life or not. Everything that you will be learning will be relevant for career in this field, but not enough. You require to put some extra efforts to gain more knowledge and practice.

Placement Experience:

Students typically become eligible from 3rd year/6th semester onwards for most companies. Some internships and tech roles may be available to 2nd-year students depending on the company criteria. Placement Percentage: Usually, 70–85% of eligible students get placed, depending on the stream. Highest placement rates are often in Computer Science, Economics, and Commerce streams. My plan is to become a software engineer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Cource curriculum is highly relevant. It covers fundamental and advanced concepts of zoology , which was the main reason I choose this course. Subjects like human physiology, biochemistry, biomolecules, comparative anatomy of vertebrates, animal behaviour, ...etc. are highly interested and align with my interest. Practical components help in developing and understanding concepts more clearly. However, real world applications is limited. Curriculum prepare students well for further academics for PG or other competitive exams. Exam system is conducted at regular intervals with Internal assessment and semester end. Timings are appropriate . Difficulty level is moderate to high.

Hindu College, Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Mathematics)
Reviewed on Jan 6, 2026(Enrolled 2025)

Course Curriculum Overview:

For B.Sc (Hons) Mathematics at Hindu College, the curriculum follows the latest DU UGCF?2022 structure, so it covers both strong theory and some modern applications. The main reason to choose this course is the depth in core areas like Calculus, Algebra, Real Analysis, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations and Probability, which builds a very solid base for higher studies like M.Sc, data science or research. There are six semesters with continuous internal assessment plus end?semester exams, so students study regularly instead of only before finals. Exams are usually moderate to difficult because questions are concept?based, but the pattern is fair and gives weightage to assignments, tutorials and attendance. Overall, the course is quite comprehensive and relevant for careers in teaching, analytics, government exams and higher academics, though adding more practical projects, programming and real?life modelling could make it even more industry?oriented
