A visit to my University

My cousin is graduated from this college in same field gave me good reviews about this college and i am good in chemistry that's what influenced me We have industry visits regular proper practicals manufacturing medicines with good percentage quality which boosts our confidence There is slight need of improvement in labs to have better outcomes and more industrial businessmen should be invited on seminars conferences to provide opportunities as well as share their experience to boost our confidence in us

I am a kashmiri student paying 1lakh annualy The actual fee is 1lakh 30 thousand but due to kashmiri reservation we pay just 1lakh I lay this amount in two installments with 55 thousand per semester and the academic as well as hostel fee of next semester has to be paid before the final exams of cureent semester Students from Himachal or other categories like SC ST has 25% of reservation in academic fee only At a time a student get benefit from only single scholarship. There is also a sibling scholarship where out of two siblings one has to pay half of the academic fee and other full fee Scholarship for SGPA above 9 is also available for top 3 students

Regardless of religion all the festivals are celebrated uniformly and together sharing love and happiness on such occasions Our Chancellor himself visit on such occasions to us Proper Classrooms facilities not AC ROOMS but good ventilation fan system Every year we have sports events in most of tha games both with in the campus as well as inter campus events University encourages youth to be part of social groups club event members to organise events.

Hostel facility is one of the concerning average rooms extra charges for AC facility smoking and drinking prohibited 1 warden per block Mess is most concerning as we have spent most of the money on outside food avoiding mess most of the time Good environment in hostel and proper maintainance of order

I had Chandigarh university CGC and other colleges in mind but i preferred to this one because of several reason and the most important is i can't relate pharmacy department of our college to anyone of them I wasn't rejected anywhere rather i got offers at lower prices but i preferred the best one for me Admissions are done from july-august Just 12th standard quantification is needed

We have an overall 30 faculty members in pharmacy department with 800 students approximately Teachers are well qualified and pretty much good at teaching boht theoretically as well as practically We have a very good realtion with teachers but that gap is always maintained to respecting teachers I personally like our HOD rather than dean mam because of her care for Us Our organic chemistry teacher was once my favourite but she started to be unfair in marking that's why j personally have bad feeling for her A good marking criteria apart from that No rechecking just re-evaluation can be filed 60-70% students pass on average every semester

Last year gym facilities included and is operating now Around 10 cafetaria and central library with the capacity of 500 students Complete canteen and stationary shops no need to go outside for anything Dj night on alrernative Saturdays and and comfortable roaming outside hostel in campus area because of high security and proper mantainance of public areas
