The faculty, infrastructure and environment of college is very amazing
Studying circulam and they also provide extra classes for placement training form 1st year

Their is alot of work assignment and practical, students are not able to manage time for extra activities

Course Curriculum Overview

The Data Science course is well-structured and industry-relevant, covering programming, machine learning, and data analysis. It includes hands-on projects, preparing students for careers in AI and analytics. However, adding more real-world case studies and internships would improve practical learning. Exams are regular and test both theory and application. Overall, it's a strong course but could benefit from more hands-on experience.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees for my course is 127000 which include tuition fees, bus charges, development fee, lab fees. Scholarshis are available for ST, SC and OBC students. One of the scholarship is pragati yojna for only girls all categories are allow

Campus Life

Campus life was amazing. There is several functions and competition are conducted. About Thousands lof books are available in library which we can issue without any cost. Sport competition are also conducted. Many clubs are run by students like science-eco club also tedx is conducted in college

Admission

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Madhya Pradesh, manages the counseling process for btech/be admissions. Admissions are primarily based on JEE Main scoresand for non-technical branches, Class 12 marks may also be considered. The counseling process involves registration, choice filling, merit list publication, seat allotment, and reporting to allotted institutes. I choose oriental college because it is one of the best college in bhopal and by seeing its good review

Faculty

The exams pattern is same as RGPV university exam and marking scheme is also similar. In one semester their are two mid semester exam conducted by college. All the faculty are very intelligent and helpful

Interview Experience

I did group discussion with the senior those whose are in my contact. Their is no interview or any test for the admission . We get admission from the MPDTE counciling or we directly register ourselves in college councling

Night Life

Canteen's food is good . While I am a outsider, i am living kn college hostel, my friends are their the hostel are good thier is 2 girl and 1 boys hostel are available in campus and the food quality is average, gyms are their. The timing for last entry is 8:00pm.parents permission is required for going outside

The college placement is quite average upto 14 15 lakh.there are so many companies like Infosys. Etc visited for placement every year. Students became eligible for internship in 5th semester and wil get placement in 4th year.i planned to became successful software engineer.

Choosing a college is a major decision, and for many students OIST Bhopal, the choice often comes down to abalance between legacy, regional repution, and practical constraints. Students typically compare OIST with other top private colleges in Madhya Pradesh such as LNCT or VIT Bhopal. My rank falls in the 1.5 Lakh to 5 Lakh range, OIST becomes a primary choice. It offers the same RGPV degree as the government colleges but with a more structured trainig program for private placements. The admission process is centralized and follows the guidelines of the Directorate of Technicial Education(DTE), Madhya Pradesh. Qualifying exams: 10+2 with Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics(PCM). OIST Bhopal is an outstanding institute!
