Course Curriculum Overview

4

The B.E. curriculum at Datta Meghe College of Engineering follows Mumbai Universitie's Syllabus which covers fundamentals but feels outdated in core branches it and cs have better industry relevance but practical exposure is limited exams include unit test practical and semester and exams which are moderate difficult level the curriculum needs more hands on learning updated subjects and industry collaborations to better prepare students for real world challenges.

Internships Opportunities

3

DMCE offers limited on campus internship opportunities mainly through TCS, L&T and capgemini with roles in software development, data analysis and core engineering. Stipends vary usually five thousand to fifteen thousand per month. Many students secure off campus internships through personal efforts. Projects include automation tools, web development and structural designs helping students gain practical industry exposure before graduation.

Placement Experience

3

At DMCE students become eligible for placements from the 7th semester, companies like TCS, Capgemini, Infosys, L&T and cognizant visit, offering roles in IT software and core engineering. The highest packages around 10 LPA with an average of 3-5 LPA. About 60 to 70% of students get placed mostly from IT and CS branches. After any degree I plan to gain experience through a job or pursue higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

Datta Meghe College of Engineering, Airoli has a yearly fee of ?98,091 dor General Category B.E. students, totaling ?3,92,364 for four years. Fees for OBC, SC and ST students are lower due to government aid. Scholarships like TFWS, EBC, Post-Matric and Minority Scholarships help eligible students. Management quota fees are higher, ranging from ?1,50,000 to ?2,00,000 per year.

Campus Life

4

Campus life at DMCE is vibrant with events like Techfest and Cultural fest the library has a good range of books and journals but more digital resources are needed classrooms have projectors and wifi but some lack modern tech sports include cricket football and badminton. Clubs like coding robotics and cultural groups help students grow socially and academically making campus life engaging.

Admission

I chose Kathmandu College of Engineering Airoli over other options due to its location affordable fees and decent placements. I applied to other colleges but missed cut off due to high compensation the admission process at dmce is through mht-cet and JEE means with a cut off around 85 to 95 percentile for general category the process includes cap rounds, document verification and seat allotment making it systematic and straightforward for applicants.

Faculty

4

Datta Meghe College of Engineering Airoli has a 1:20 faculty to student ratio with most professors being approachable. IT and CS faculties are more supportive than core branches some professors explain concepts well while others rely too much on slides. The course follows Mumbai University's syllabus to choose partly outdated for core branches exams include unit test practical and semester and exams with a 40% pass mark.

Night Life

2

Nightlife around DMCE is limited as the campus lacks hostel the library and cafeteria close by 6 to 7 pm and there are no late night study areas. Popular hangout spots include Rockville Diner, Seawoods Mall and coffee shops near the station. The area is safe but quite at night with fewer late night options students unwind at restaurants or marine drive on weekends making city trips a common way to relax.

Placement Experience:

Placements are usually pretty average of 7-10LPA and usually students with CGPA of 7-9 sit for the campus placements. I would say around 40% students get placed decently. If no campus placement, the course is so diverse that you can easily get jobs if you have the skills.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is half electronic and Computer science based . It is really useful for students opting for Robotics, Internet Of things , Vlsi , etc. But if you want to opt for fully computer science based stream or career, dont choose this stream as there is shortlisting issue during placement here for this stream

The placements here are good. But if more diverse number of companies are coming , then it would be more beneficial for students. Te average package you can expect is 4lpa . The most number of students getting placed companies are seclore and sogolytics.
