Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course I chose is AIML. Because it is the most vast and booming course in today's world. However in first year we do not have the proper briefing of the specified course as it is all basic science first. Coming to real world applications, I would like to give an example of my c programming teacher who relates every program with a real world problem. One suggestion for the betterment of teaching is that they can reduce unnecessary assignments and replace it with tests. The internal exams are for 30marks and alloted time is 1 hour which is more than enough. And for the end sem 100 marks we get 3 hours which might get short at times.

Internships Opportunities

1

I don't really have any knowledge about this so far. But I will make sure I get in contact with the HOD'S and consultants and know about this. And get familiar with few engineering seniors and super seniors as they can give me a brief about the internships.

Placement Experience

2

The placements are average as the NAAC rating for my college is B++. My plan is to finish my last year and write GATE exam to get into an IT company or continue with masters in an IT college. However I feel in today's world, more than the college you belong to, your skills and your problem solving skills matter on which I'm working on.

Fees and Financial Aid

Greetings to all, Myself Syeda Nida Masood and I am in my first year of engineering in amrutha institute of engineering and management sciences (bidadi) bangalore. I scored 25K rank in my CET examination but messed up my option entry. Anyway, the course I have opted in B.E is AIML and the yearly fees (through CET) is 1LAKH. Through management the fees it 2LAKH. The studies and teachers are really well experienced. However the students lack communication skills according to me.

Campus Life

1

The campus life is really not much involving so faar. As I have not opened up with the peope yet, but there are many competitions that occur. Students are a bit laid off and have a back mind set. But few are really well spoken and wonderful.

Admission

I did not have even 2% of plan to join this college as it is not my cup of tea and extremely faar for me to travel. I had written my CET exam and I got 25K rank which is an enough score to get admission in any good college in Bangalore. But one silly mistake of mine ruined my entire plan. I messed up the option entry and wanted to apply for Amritha Vishwavidya and landed up applying in Amritha institute of engineering and management sciences. However this college has taught me how to get out of my comfort zone and learn so much new. The admission process is really simple if you are coming through CET as everything will be announced by the KCET members.

Faculty

3

The best part about my college are the faculty members as they are well communicated, helpful, strict and experienced. They make sure the topic is understood and only then they would move on to the next topic. They do not rush to finish the topics of any subject. My favourite faculty member is my mathematics teacher PROF.RAKESH as his methods are really good and PROF.SHREYAS as his communication skills are on point and is extremely experienced. Coming to the exams, we have total of about 3 internal exams of which the average will be considered at the semester end. And the final sem end exam of 100 marks which will be reduced to 50 marks and added with the internal marks. There will also be lab internals which will be added in the internal marks. Each internal will have 2 modules to study and is pretty easy if you have studied thoroughly.

Night Life

4

Honestly, my closest friends do stay in the hostel and they believe that the night life is crazy as they all can combine study and have fun at the same time. The hostel food as mentioned is yum and fresh. However the campus is really big, pretty and full of greenery which makes hanging out even better. It's a little bit of a greenery area, so at night might be a little too cold and a little risky due to insects and creatures.

Companies like thermo fisches , fractal , belc , hitachi and many other, have visited. The percentage of placemnt is quite high but people grabbing more than 30lpa is very few. after degree i want to go for job directly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Honestly I don't a thing about the relevance of the curriculum, this curriculum thingy has been changing every now and then in our college I hope atleast they stick to one curriculum and make us study that and don not change it further. As I've mentioned before, I was not informed in prior about the syllabus so obviously there's no specifi aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course. I think the curriculum will prepare me to face the world way more wisely and strategically than how I'd deal with it otherwise. I think one area they can improve is in physics, they can give us more seminars, projects and stuff to check our understanding. That would really help a lot of people to be creative and help people to get the exposure. Coming to the difficulty level of the paper, I know nothing because I haven't written the sem exam yet so, I know nothing. But, can guarantee one thing!! Be careful, cause as per sources our college is known for it's tough question paper, so y'all better study.
