Likes
- The college is spread in a very vast area. Big grounds of many sports are present that's a very great thing.
- The teachers are very helpful and caring. Whole campus is equipped with CCTV and WiFi.
- Many events happens in the college like fest and Khel Mahakumbh.
Dislikes
- The 75% attendance is way more seriously taken then the other colleges.
- No one is allowed to leave the campus during lecture hours.
- In all games there is still no place or equipments for football.
Course Curriculum Overview
BAMS is such a helping course. MBBS from government college is too much tough and from private is too much expensive. In between there is BAMS that is neither very tough nor very expensive. Internal exams do happen twice a year and University exam comes in 1.5 years that is called a Professional. Internal exams are very easy and no pressure because of no failing chances whereas University exam is tough and is you fail you have to give back papers.
Internships Opportunities
There are no internship that is given directly to students but yes those who complete their 4 years of course get the internship from the college hospital. If you can adjust your time you can work a helping doctor in any of the hospitals in the town. You will get a salary of 8000-12000 easily.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fees is 230000. No extra security money or miscellaneous fees. Exam fees is 10000 rupees. Other than that no extra charges during the course. 15000 rupees is taken one time at the start of the course for books , stethoscope and apron. First year books are provided by the college by that 15000 rupees.
Campus Life
There are lots of programs that keep happening in college. The best one is yearly Khel Mahakumbh. In Khel Mahakumbh there are many games played between the colleges of Ayurved Pharmacy Nursing and Hospital. The games are like Cricket Volleyball Kabaddi Tug of War etc between both girls and boys. Every class is equipped with digital boards , mic and sound and WiFi.
Admission
I applied for 2 other colleges than this. First one is Goel Ayurvedic Medical College Lucknow and other is Ankerite Ayurvedic Medical College Lucknow. I got selected in both but SCPM college was better than the other two. Main reason is because of location. It is just 2 hours from Lucknow and 1 hour from my home.
Faculty
The faculty is undoubtedly very great. Every teacher is very humble and kind. They are always for you help. Most of the teachers live in the campus so they can be there for you even after the lecture hours are over. There are approximately 100 teaching staff and total students are 450 so ratio is 1:4.5
Night Life
There are no gym but two canteens. One is in the Ayurveda buliding and other is an outer canteen near the volleyball ground. The hostel is a perfect place for students. Lots of fun and learning. Best place to sit with your friends during breaks is the herbal garden. The library is filled and books of Ayurved There is also a digital library. Library is open only during college time but canteen opens till 9:00 PM in the night
