My journey at AIT

The curriculum is very well planned. The subjects and their content are very well updated to the current times and technologies. However, there can also be some sort of improvement. Nowadays, programming languages like C# or C++, do not really have the relevance that it did earlier, owing to the fact that Python and other languages have developed very efficiently. Therefore I believe those subjects could be replaced by other subjects like UI/UX design.

Campus Placement have been good. Companies have been coming since November. The average offering package is low however averaging at about 2-3 LPA. Moreover, majority of the companies are providing jobs out of Delhi, so that is one to lookout for. To name a few Wipro, ThoughtWorks and Centelli are some that have presented students with opportunities at my campus.

The fees is around 18000 a year for the Diploma course. Being a state government funded university, It has various scholarships available. Notifications for all of these scholarships are provided well in time by the university.

Overall experience has been good if not the best. What I liked in particular was the clubs. I had joined the Digital Media and Publications club of the campus because I was into graphic designing. It can restless at times, but end of the day you do get recognised for your work. I have a great faculty advisor for my club, who more so than just a faculty advisor but a mentor as well. So therefore it has been good journey. And currently I am the Editor In Chief of the said club.

My first concern obviously at the time of admission was to get into a government college. I had managed to get admission in the college, during the first round itself after the entrance examination. My the looks of the university website and opportunities I chose this college.

The faculty is good. The teachers do provide ample opportunity to approach them regarding any doubts or concerns. There are a few faculty who can be not so appreciative, and you may not be able to even clear doubts and end up doing bad in that subject. Overall, I can say that, while some faculty are absolutely amazing, One cannot ignore the fact that most of them are going to make your experience pretty down hill.

Being a day campus, there is no nightlife whatsoever. The campus canteen as I mentioned earlier has been closed for more semesters than I can imagine. Im currently in my 6th semester, and the canteen hasn't opened its gate since the 3rd semester
