My ABES Journey

Curriculum of AKTU and this college is very well planned and i would say very good,but when we talk about implementation,it is not as good as i thought,but it is understandalble too. 1st year curriculum is not as related to real world applications,but in 3rd year or so,college provide projects,internship opportunities and E-cell,which help to understand real-world problems and to work on it. I think what should be updated is to teach in an easy way,not in sprint to cover up syllabus,by reducing the syllabus,it wont matter,main thing is how to teach in a way to make students calm,so that they can prepare exams for them as well. The frequency and timline of exams i would say is almost perfect,and considering 1st sem students adjustment time,the difficulty level is quite low.

AMAZON offered recently 4 students for Software Development Engineer for stipend of 1,10,000 per month. Kapture offered stipend of 25,000 per month for Software Development Intern. Groww offered stipend of 61,000 per month for Software Engineer Intern. Addverb Technologies offered stipend of 25,000 per month.

Students from starting of 7th semester are eligible for taking a full time internship,campus placements are done during the forth year itself. Many companies NVIDIA,Amazon,Wipro,Goldman Sachs,Medly,Infosys,TCS,Capgemini,Tech Mahindra,etc come for campus placements, no of offers more than 1000. Highest package was of AMAZON of 44LPA for more than 7 students,average package is around 6 LPA. More than 90% of students get placed. My plan is to go for M.Tech,as for ECE,the good knowledge and experience comes after doing masters in specific field.

For 1st year, Tuition Fee-110000/- Registration Fee-1500/- Book Bank Maintenence-1600/- Career Planning & Development-15000/- Group Personal Accident & Medical Insurance-500/- Academic & Book Bank Security(Refundable)-5000/- Scholarship Details: Central Government Scholarship: 1.Only for core branches. 2.Basis of merit of qualifying qualification(12th grade). 3.Rs 18,000/- per annum will be awarded. College Level Scholarship: 1.SEED: (a)Single Parent/Orphan/Critical Illness/Economic Weaker. (b)1 student per year/course. (c)Scored 70% in PCM-25k to 50k. (d)Scored 90% in PCM-1lac. (e)Will continue if maintain 80% in subsequent years. 2.Policy for Employees Ward: Eligibility: (a)Only for employees of ABESEC. (b)25% of Tuition Fees(after adjusting other scholarship if any)-Service more than 3yrs.And less than 5yrs. (c)50% of Tuition Fees(after adjusting other scholarship if any)-Service more than 5 yrs. The fees for all categories is same. The FW(Fee Waiver) candidates gave 33,600/- as their fee. The fees from 2nd year onwards: 1,28,600/-(for second year) 1,28,600/-(for third year) 1,20,100/-(for fourth year). And university fees 7865/-(for both semester)

There are a lot of books available in library of various subjects and various topics,in sight Many social groups like Walkathon,Code-Bids,Technovation,Typo-Buzz,Tech Requiza,Sallah,Kalakrit,Web-D Frenzy,and many more,they impact by getting direction in which who migh pursue passion in.

Air conditioning for the student who opt for it,1 bed with no mattress at all,you have to find mattress and pillow by yourself or you can by their private dealer for high prices actually.1 almirah of 1 by 8 meters.1 study table with chair,and 2 tublight for each student. Meal quality is good,sometimes its very good,but sometimes its worst,depends on what you are eating,and mainly your taste.otherwise they proivde not tasty but healthy balanced diet actually. Registration process was really frustating as i have to stand in line for more than 3 hours just to register for hostel accomodation,they just ask if you have paid the money,sees the transcation and allot the room no on basis of what no of seater room you wanna get. They provide 4 seater,3 seater,2 seater,all with AC/Non-AC both type.

I chose this college specifically because of its location and nearby to future tech hub-Noida.As compaines are setting up nearby,many high-tech companies would come to this college for not just mass recruitments but also for big brains giving ample amount of experience and placment record.Its already breaking its previous records of package. I did apply for Aligarh Muslim University(AMU),but withdrawn from it because university itself is quite very chill type,they dont care much about what students are doing execpt some,their is less restrictions there which make it a little unsafe place.Although I know freedom is good,but too much freedom leads to chaos. Admission process for ABES Engineering College is through UPTU counselling(Uttar Pradesh Technical University)conducted by AKTU (Abdul Kalam Technical University). For that you must have cleared JEE MAINS and boards marks above 45% aggregate. Also you can go by direct admission for ABES Engineering Colleg eby going to their website or by visiting the campus.. The most preferred course is obviously CSE,CSE-AIML,CSE-DS then ECE,ELCE

The faculty to student ratio is 1:75,which is quite bad. But the faculty actually understands it and explain in such a way that each student gets in different approches for all types of students. Praveen Kumar Raghuvanshi of Eletrical Engineering Course is the best teacher till now I have seen.He expains all the topics,not just the specific one, in a very good with some humor added to it.His roasting is quite well too. There are total 3 sessional test,but there is only evaluation of 2 best sessionals performed,first two sessional of 30 marks each and 3rd sessional of 40 marks. These sessional gets converted to max 7.5 marks of internal marks. These sessionals are quite easy, anyone doing pyqs and question solved in classes can score more than 90%. Still many studnets fails to do this because i think we are still immature to not take it seriously. Course like Electrical,Maths & Physics are very well related to if i talk about ECE,it is just stepping stone,and without it,the basic concepts wont be good.

Favorite hangout place is Crossing Republik,Gaur City Mall and Noida Sector-62,electronic city. There is gym inside Boys hostel,adn also nearby the college,college have 2 cafeterias,1 library,1 digital library with very good desktops. Hostel in-timing is any time,but out time is limited from 6AM to 9 PM only. Campus in timing for day scholars is restricted for late late and early morning only. Locality at which the college is not that safe as i think,but after crossing some lines there is a very good infrastructure and places to visiot at late night too.
