Course Curriculum Overview

4

MBBS is a very broad course . It includes 19 big subjects which we will have to cover in 4.5 years . This allow us to know about human science in the deepest way possible. First year have 3 subjects . Second year also have 3 main subjects . Third year have 3 main subjects Fourth year is the hectic one which include 11 subjects including medicine , surgery, obs and gynae , derma etc . According to me this is the part of curriculum which needs to be improved means fourth year burden should be less .

Internships Opportunities

4

1 year of compulsory internship is there in every government medical college of India. Stipend provided in some colleges is okay but right now stipend is very low according to the work load of intern . It is 12000 per month in my college. Intern have to do work for many hours continuously in the hospital. There are very less holidays in the complete internship period. Overall internship is a very hectic period in a life of medical student.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure for all autonomous medical colleges of Uttar pradesh for general is 28800 and for others 18800 annually which includes 4600 as hostel fees. For first year it may vary because of refundable security money .It was 36000 in my college during my first year . Government of uttar pradesh also provide scholarship for students upto 51000 to elligible candidates. For general category it's upto 51000 , for OBC it is 41000 and for sc/st it is 36000 . Mess charges are not included in the above mentioned fee details . It is 3600 per month in my college .

Campus Life

3

Overall campus life or so called college life is not that happening in medical colleges as compared to other course colleges. But we somehow manage to get a good balance between academics and other activities. In college campus there is no such good facilities available other than academics. There are some fests which are organised by every batches like saraswati puja in February , ganesh chaturthi , sports fest ( karwaan) in june most probably , and cultural fest ( genesis) in november . We enjoy a lot during these fests .

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel conditions was pretty good until there were only initial 5 batches but as the number of students has increased it becomes problematic for us as double seater rooms were there and now we have to share it among 3 students. Rooms are big enough but only 2 almirahs are provided to us but now 2 almirahs are shared with 3 of us . So this is the main problem in our hostels . There are total 6 bathrooms and 6 washrooms in each floor with installed geysers .1 watercooler in each floor . 1 boys hostel , 1 girl's hostel , and 1 girl's intern hostel and 1 boys intern hostel is there . Annual fees for hostel excluding mess fee is 4600 . Quality of mess food is okay . Each candidate is provided with chair, table ,bed , mattress and almirah which is pretty good . Other than tripling rest everything provided by the college hostel is fair enough.

Admission

I chose this college mainly because this is not that far from my home . During my neet ug counselling, i got a college in orissa which was very far from my home , so I drop that college and continued my counselling . In the next round i got this college and immediately took admission as this is near my hometown and of course in mty home state . So i preffered this over other colleges which I was alloted according to my neet ug marks . This is one among 2019 colleges in uttarpradesh . Also this is constructed in main city . Other 2019 colleges are mainly constructed outside city . Bus stand is approx 300metres from college. Overall the location is better as compared to other 2019 colleges of UP.

Faculty

4

Faculty is way too good in my college. As far as academics is concerned, it is pretty good . Regular internal assessments are conducted in each session so that proffs become comparatively easy for us . Regular PCT i.e part completion tests are really helpful . All are completely according to our proffs exams In first year there are hundreds of internal exams especially anatomy in our college. Our anatomy HOD is way too good . Yes he's strict but only for our benefit only . Cadaver dissection is done regularly to make us easy to understand anatomy . Similarly in each subject of each year proffesors and JRs give their best overall to provide us as much knowledge as possible . Academically this college is overall good as compared to other colleges.

Night Life

2

There is no night life in my college because last entry timings in girls hostel is 9:00pm . So for girls it is a big NO. For boys there is no such restrictions. Library is open for boys 24/7 and for girls it is only till 9 pm . Bahraich is not safe fo girls at night . Even for boys also it is not that safe as compared to other cities. College timings may vary each year but it is in between 8:00am - 4:00 pm .

The course curriculum is very on point and vast the college teaches almost whole syllabus from renowned authors and books Just the time taken to cover the syllabus needs to be shorten as we don't get enough time to study after the syllabus is over The notes need to be improved which are shown on the projector

Course Curriculum Overview:

Current MBBS curriculum is purely clinical based and hence clinical postings are crucial. It is mandatory to attend them and strict actions are taken if you fail to do so. This curriculum prepares you for your NEETpg or NExT. Exams held are semester 1,2 and pre professionals and then professional. Timing 3 hours and difficulty level is okay. Mostly questions come from important topics.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The profession I'm in is medical. The toughest of all. As from the starting I wished to be a doctor. The one who is second to a God. The one who is respected the most. The one who does the most prestigious job. As per the curriculum we have to study all 19 subjects in just 4.5 years plus we have to attend the clinical posting in hospital , which exposes us to real world. The posting time is the time given to students from second year till year last. Improvement can be done in passing the exam part which is 50% in each subject. It can be 40 % marks. Currently I've given my MBBS second year which was hectic because of the vast syllabus. We have total of 5.5 year course for an undergraduate degree. Out of which 4.5 years is about studies rest one year is internship in hospital. We have to study all 19 subjects in just 4.5 years. The mbbs course is very lengthy. Each and every subject is very vast. So we have to study maximum time. So all the very best those who aspire to be a great doctor

Placement Experience:

During admission we sign an affidavit with UP government to work in rural area for 2 years or else give 10 lakh rupees. If selected for PG bond will continue after PG fir 5 years else 40 lakh fine. Since there is affidavit , UP government will itself provide job to us as MBBS doctors. Most of students appear for NEET PG exam and take admission in allotted college as junior resident. If one cannot clear NEET PG exam, they will either work in clinics and hospitals as MBBS doctors or they will join any college as demonstrators or Lecturers. The students who have completed internship of 1 year after 4.5 years course are eligible to take any job or practice in private. Salary of mbbs doctors in our country is 60-70 thousand monthly. Almost all students get placed in one or other place. I will get my MS and DM degree after mbbs and become a neurosurgeon.
