What Students Say

Likes

Weather is very nice but be careful of rain very harsh rainfall
Peaceful environment as the place is secluded from city
Infrastructure is really good and easy to roam

Dislikes

Placements are very less compared than as told earlier
Faculty in law is good but not in business school
Food is very pathetic for hostel students

Course Curriculum Overview

Course has some of the many useless things such as complex maths in business doesn't make any sense tand some of the courses are waste just to add more and more course to charge extra fees and points .

Class Size: 53Course Fees: INR 184000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

1st year fees would be 183000 for both semester and it will gradually increase by 10% till 3rd year and in 4th year you'll pay 4.32 lakhs per semester. It also depends on girls scholarships and domiciles the fees reduces by 1lakh if eligible

Campus Life

It is good till you live inside but it is harsh too as there are lot of restrictions it feels like jail in there and you cannot expect it to live there as a college student it is just like a student from school

Admission

Because the college gave integrated course so I applied for the college but after three years and at the time of placement I got to know none of the companies give preference to this course and it is waste of money and time

Faculty

Faculty from year third would be very nice and qualified but you'll get the loads of wasteful assignments of no use just to waste time. Exams persists 2times in a year mid sem and end sem checking for business students are not too harsh

Night Life

Nightlife of the college inside campus is very good but not outside because it is in jungle and you don't fell comfortable. But inside there are many outlets and students roam around so you feel like foreign campus

Uttaranchal University is a gemstone!!

Placement Experience:

In digital marketing nearly 90% it the students are placed in top startup companies like the Boat, Minimalist and all who needs digital presence to sell their products. Jobs offered are of 50-80k a month and for MBA freshers this is a kind package.

Campus life

Placement Experience:

For masters student student from 3rd semester are eligible for the campus placement. For bachelor students from 6-7 semester students are eligible for the campus placement. Federal bank, taj hotel, Techmutant software solutions, cradlewise, patanjali, etc. many more companies are there which visit the campus. There is 60-70% criteria for students to get the placement as 60% are the eligibility criteria for many companies and some companies have 70% eligibility criteria for the placement. Our university has 85% placement in dehradun region as compared to other universities. My plans are taking a good job and work hard to become independent.

UPES MBA REVIEW (pov: a new student so no biases)

Placement Experience:

The placement rate is around 90%. Students become eligible for campus placements from the start of 3rd semester, although you can get in earlier through summer internship and ppos. Overall average package is around 8 lakh. Top 15% students get 14-17 lakh. Highest package for this year was 33 lakh. Many top companies like Amazon, Adani, EY, PwC, KPMG, Accenture, Adobe, Microsoft, Infosys, BlueDart, Dell, Deloitte, Genpact and more come to the campus. I aim on getting into big 4 consulting firms.

i think from 3 rd semsester students are eligble for campus placements iam from 1 sem thats why i didnt eligble for that higest is like 20 lakhs and lowest is 3 lakhs per anam they show 90 percent but actually only 10 percent of students get placed i am planning to get a job ncr

Placement Experience:

At the end of end semesters college started to get internship and their are a number of them of every type. Students should choose it of any kind. For placement companies started to come in collage in 3rd semesters and one should apply for placement. Till now many companies were there including 99acers, Arvind fasion, Wipro, Google and so on.

Admission:

When you are selected through your CAT you need to pass through the GD and PI round. The topic of GD is related to current affairs and we were given 20 minutes. The PI round was for about 15 minutes and general questions were asked about my academics, my experience etc. I gave some mock interviews which helped me a lot for these rounds.

The placements start in the second year. Students are expected to have a descent academic record to get placement. UPES has the best facilities!

Assessment test is there but that's not the only way of getting here. There are other ways too and students can go that way like on 12th score or sports quota because there are over 1000 new admission done every year. UPES was the lone place I tried and I got admission too....Read More

UPES is above the rest!

UPES has best sports access!

Admission are through an entrance for engineering which is called UPESAT. The best thing is the paper can be given anytime as it's online and if students want they can directly come to the university and then give that exam. UPES Dehradun is scenic!

Admission in Engineering is through UPESAT and likewise all course have their own entrance apart from normal graduation science, arts, and commerce courses.
