Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is comprehensive and rigours. Ranges from basic economics to deep quant economics. Curriculam does not prepare for real.world scenario as it is based on more theory and academic learning than real life workings.
Internships Opportunities
Companies like ey parethon and various start-ups have offered internships to our college students under roles like business analyst or data analysit. There is also a live project programme offers which helps students get internships in finance
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for college placement once they are in their fifth semester. Highest offer is 21 lakh but that was outside college hiring. Avg package was almost 6lakhs. About 100 students sat for placement out of which 45 have gotten placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
20k caution fee. Tution fee ranges from 1.25 lakhs to 1.40 lakhs per semester. Fees for peope with management quota is double. Scholarships are available for ews. NRI student also have to pay double fees.
Campus Life
Our college has various fests. A flagship event is held every year along with a college fest and a sports fest. The library portal is amazing along with a up to the mark physical library on campus. Various clubs are also present which are run and managed by the students themselves.
Admission
Applied to a bunch of colleges like nmims and Christ. Got admission in both of them but thought this college would be better as inwas more inclined towards economics and this is one of the few colleges which offers a degree of bsc in economics. Faculty
Faculty is divided into the various economic subjects. But a lot of subjects overlap and so does the faculty. The student to teacher ratio is about 1:40. There are sem ends which are considerably difficult and projects are given all semester round. Class tests are also taken once a semester.
Interview Experience
Yes I gave a comman written paper for symbiosis university. However, there was no group discussion. The personal interview mainly revolved around economics concepts and my resume. The best way to prepare for these interviews is to brush up on your academics that you learnt in school along with improving your communication skills
Night Life
Nightlife is not so good around campus as it is located in old pune. There are still a lot of cafes and places to hang out around campus. Hostel timings vary from 10 pm till 11pm depending on weekdays and weekends
