Likes

I liked the infrastructure and the green environment of the college very much
I liked the crowd as there is a good entrepreneurial culture
I liked the lecture theatres and halls and faculty too is well qualified

Dislikes

I do not like the attitude of teachers very much
The opportunities are not at par with the other NITS
The cg system is too tough to crack in one night study

Course Curriculum Overview

The vlsi course was opted by me because i found it very relevant to the upcoming business scenario there is a lot of need to semiconductors and the cost of these integrated chips is also booming snd also there is a very high demand of engineers these days because if new R AND D developments

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 1100000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

We will be paying 2.5lakhs per year jn this course that includes the tution plus hostel fee the mess fee is charged in separate slabs the SC ST categories get an additional advantage as their is 100 percent of fee wavier for these categories

Campus Life

The overall experience of the college according to me is just FINE it is not as good as i expected but not bad too it will give you certain opportunities but it will be diffuclt to grab because of so many concentrated students in a small place so you will have to fight to get the perfect opportunity

Admission

I couldnt get into IIT so the only thing left with me was private colleges and NITS so i was getting lower branches in the other top NITS but i did not want to study the subjects i did not like so i opted for the electronics department as i have subtle interest in design and electronics

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is very nice as the teachers give personal attention to students whenever required they are readily available and also their home is near the campus actually within the campus so you can contact and meet them whenever necessary there are a lot of students who fail to clear the exam 20 in 120 class i did not like ravinder sir of maths because he doesnt give marks you have to beg to him to get increased even half mark

Night Life

The nightlife of the college is not as good as expected as in the first year including both the semesters kf the first year you are not allowed to go outside the hostel and because of that students have a tendency to go outisde by using unfair means and coming to the second year there is a lot of freedom in the second year because there are no restrictions and the shops are closed at night there is just one cafe open in the whole college where you can eat at night

Because i did not like the faculty much plus the croud in NITJ was better so i opted for this course in NITJ rather than this in LPU

LPU has no errors!

Placement Experience:

Like at IET

Course Curriculum Overview:

I went for CSe bcz it has best career scope. The curriculum is comprehensive but a bit heavy. It touches almost all topics but didn't go deep into latest tech like AI or Cloud computing, which was a drawback. Improvements? Definitely the teaching style. Some profs are good but many rush through the syllabus to finish it. They should include more project based learning instead of just theory exams. Exams are manageable. We have typical sem system. Timing is predictable but sometimes the schedule is very tight with no gaps between papers. Difficulty wise its okay, most students study a week before exams and manage to clear them.

As I mentioned this college is new and they have no past data to show about their placement but they have good tie up with some of the giants of industry including IBM and when their SME comes to provide lectures ut really boosts your energy and motivation. But still there can't be any assurance of placement as of now untill our batch get placed successfully

My Journey and experience at my College

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate and usually starts from the 7th Semester . A few Service based Companies visit with average packages of 3-4 Lpa . Around 40 - 50 % students get placed. I plan to upskill and pursue higher studies or better job opportunities

LPU is indeed a professional university!

Placement Experience:

Around 600 recruiters so far has hired students from LPU. Not just domestic but even international names have hired students from LPU. So, I don't think one even has to look beyond LPU for that matter. I am happy that students from here have got the opportunity to work in their dream companies and soon I will be giving interviews as I am also in my final year now.

My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.

On campus Placements are average here. The highest package goes to 19 lakhs and Average package is 3-4 lakhs per annum. However we can not expect any MNC to visit this campus but the companies for freshers and to gain experience visit the campus.

Life at NIT Jalandhar : A comprehensive student perspective

I applied to several institutions including NIT Jalandhar, NIT Srinagar and UIET Hoshiarpur And Pec Chandigarh But choose NIT Jalandhar due to its robust placement record well recognised NIT brand and strong industry connections. NIT Jalandhar offers better infrastructure, facility expertise and peer environment compared to other options I had while I got confirmed admissions from uiet Hoshiarpur and nit Jalandhar my preference for a national level campus experience and comprehensive curriculum lead me here. My JEE main rank mit nit Jalandhar's cutoff whereas I couldn't qualify for top iits due to higher cut off the admission process is straightforward students must clear JEE main participate in Jossa counselling and meet annual cut offs .The eligibility is 75% in class 12th And a valid JEE main score. I got 28102 rank in jee mains and 24576 rank in jee advanced My primary goal was to get into any iit but I can't get due to my rank if I would have got any iit o would have chosen it over In josaa counselling I got iiit bhopal cse which was quite a good option because bhopal is not so distant from home and also has good placement but it has many problems like no permanent campus and hostels etc and very high fees which I can't afford So in next round I got nit jalandhar ice over it because it is a cirtcutal branch enough options in tech and core both morover it comes with a nit tag and less fees and I want clg in north...Read More
