Course Curriculum Overview

5

The decision of me taking accounting is because accounts is needed everywhere. Hence I could get job in any firm, company. The curriculum teaches us real life experiences of accounting and gives us an open door for post graduation options like MBA in finance or MCOM. So if one is thinking to get good and reputed job should further study MBA in finance. The exams are moderate in nature. Not so hard but also not so easy.

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid 23000 per year. Currently I am in 2nd year of my degree. And the course fees is according to per year pattern which includes both semesters. The fees differs from course to course. For BSCIT the per year fees is 25000.

Campus Life

4

Recently Annual social happened. Many events like sports day, saree and rose day, traditional day. The availability of books are good enough in library but on exams days it's hard to get books as they are already taken by students. The facilities are pretty good as there are projector and teachers use them but also do not forget to use blackboards as they are very convenient and easy for them and also for us to understand well. College conducts good amount of extra curricular activities and asks students to participate in that. There are many clubs like Rotaract club, BAF TIMES , i am a part of baf times , ENACTUS. Students like to join these clubs to make their college life more fun.

Admission

I didn't apply for any other college as I was in the same college for almost 2 years of HSC. So I didn't wanted to change my pattern and area. The admission process is pretty easy as we have to fill online form and payment fees online and then submit all the documents in offline mode. The eligibility for my course was totally on the basis of merit and my HSC percentage. And the cutoff is also high. And the admission process was easy and i knew it from earlier.

Faculty

5

The faculty is divided from course to course. Some high experience teachers are teaching for more than 1 course. I connected with my Accounts ma'am very much. Others think she's very rude but that's not true if we give the same respect to her she will surely help us. There are 2 exams basically divided in 2 parts i.e internals of 25 marks and externals of 75 marks. Very few students fail to clear as the course is very understandable.

Night Life

5

My favourite hang out spot is STARBUCKS which is right in front of our college and also there's Subway. The campus timings are from 7am to 7pm. The locality is very safe and reputed to roam around. There is also a gym khana in our college , students like to sit and play games.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The B.com is not a very comprehensive and complex degree to complete for someone who wants to pursue his/her career in finance. It can be referred as an initial start or push start for one's finance journey over the years. Also the relevance of B.com in real world is gradually decreasing day by day.

Placement Experience:

From semester 5, you become eligible for final placement and semester 3 for internship placement. many companies like Nykaa, Myntra, Duetsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, Deloitte, Zomato, Beerbiceps and more have visited. the highest package in history is 38 lakh per annum. The average is 8-9 lakh per annum. Around 70% of students get the college placement. My plan is to start my own business after college. I am although doing internships through college. Already done one in Beerbiceps and one in chorus call.

Placement Experience:

Placements in my college are decent but not very high. students usually become eligible from the final year and few companies visit for roles like accounting assistant, sales, customer service. The average package is usually around Rs.2LPA-Rs.3LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Due to NEP the course has been more developed to the students and teachers also explain the topocs to us very clearly and the thing should be change that the timing of the paper are at morning time which is at 7:30am it should be 10 or 10:30 because this time the students get late to the paper and didnt get time to prep.

Course Curriculum Overview:

One of the key aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the B.Com course at Sydenham College was its strong foundation in core commerce subjects such as Accounting, Economics, Business Law, and Finance. The structured progression from basic to advanced concepts, along with exposure to subjects like taxation and auditing, made the program particularly appealing for students aiming for careers in finance, CA, CS, or management.

Remarks:

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
