Course Curriculum Overview
My specific aspects is the knowledge of technolgy in industru. Also the curriculum is updated time to time so it can match the standards of industry. Also the placements are very good in my branch (famous for 100%).
Fees and Financial Aid
In the 1st year the total yearly fees excluding the hostel is 135000 and after it will be 127500 in next 3 years.Caution fees= 5000,registration fees= 2500.There are 3 fee waiver seats in every branch in which no tuition fees has to be paid for eligible students. The fees for all categories is equal. There is UP government samman nidhi scholarship for only home state quota students in which they get around 55-60k for general students, 75-80k for obc students, 100-110k for sc/st students and many more private scholarships like reliance, tata etc.
Campus Life
Campus life is fantastic, batchmates are friendly, seniors are chill and very helpful. We bunk many classes and do chill in canteens, cafe. There are 9 clubs in our college - NSS , photography, literary, hobby , cultural, sport, yoga , print and media . All clubs are generally run by our reapected seniors and there is no any eligibilty criteria for joining any club if you have interest you can join anyone or two or how much you want to join. Approximately all books are available in the library and the timing is 9 to 5.
Admission
The Harcourt butler technical university is the one of the oldest engineering college of india having the legacy of 103 years and the no.1 state government college of UP .My rank is not enough for top NITS so i have options of state gov. colleges. At the time of counselling i am choosing the college by seeing infrasture, education, placements and HBTU is much better than all others in every terms. The admission is through jee mains Some cutoffs %tile : CSE - 98.5 IT- 98 Electronics-97.5 Electrical-97 Mechanical- 96 Chemical and civil-95 Paint tech. - 94 Plastic tech. - 93
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is about 1:20 which is good enough. The faculties are so much supportive and if you want their help for any reason like academic, hostel, personal then they will help you.One of the best our Dean of student welfare respected Alak pandey sir is always ready for help of student as much as possible by them. There are 2 mid semester exam and end semester exam in each semester .Exams are not very tough but you have to study atleast 1 week before from exams (don't follow one night fight strategy) .Scoring 7cg is not a big deal.
Night Life
I am day scholar so i can't know much about nightlife but as i get to know from my hostelers friends that they enjoy so much in nights. They hangout, watch movies, parties and all. Gyms and cafeterias all are well and good in conditions and there is availibility of all items which is required.
