- Opportunity to implement the theoretical concepts into practical through events like symposium, club activities and majour institution functions like inauguration of a new batch, convocation.
Dislikes
- The constraint on infrastructure like unavailability of auditorium for major events. Have to always rent.
- Lack of diverse students from various States. Only from Karnataka is enrolled and few students from neighbouring states.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is decided by the Bengaluru City University, where MPBIM is affiliated to. Based on the curriculum set, the faculties use PPTs, role plays, experiential learning, activities and events. Semester exams are decided by the University and timetable is informed to the students.
Fees and Financial Aid
One of the best management institutes in Bengaluru City where entrance exams of PGCET, MAT and CAT are considered. Based on the examination, fees structure is decided. For students entering through PGCET, annual fees includes 60,000 INR to be paid to the KEA and per semester 45,500 INR to be paid to the college. 45,500 includes all the necessary division of the fees. For students coming through other entrance exams like CAT or MAT, complete fees is to be paid to the college management, and it is about 5,10,000 INR. All government scholarships and reservations are available and availed by the respective students. Over the two years, the fees structure has not changed for the students under PGCET.
Campus Life
The events celebrating culture, like Ganesh Chaturthi, Saraswati Pooja, Kannada Rajyotsava, Annual Cultural event of MPBIM - Panache, club activities of the respective clubs. 3 libraries are available with books ranging from subjects to frictions with reference books too. All classrooms are equipped with smart boards and act as white boards too. Computers labs are made accessible for all students with prior permission. Annual cricket tournament for both boys and girls are held. Indoor games like chess and carrom are also held.
Admission
MPBIM has good connectivity interms of public transportation of Bus, metro. The fees structure was appealing with the outbound learning activities. I applied MPBIM as my 1st choice in PGCET selection and got the same without hassle.
Faculty
The faculties are experienced in their domain knowledge and have their qualifications. Visiting faculties are also available. Students-faculty ratio depends on the specialisation selected for the 2nd years. For the 1st years, 3 sections with minimum of 50 students are allocated with 1 faculty for each subject. Examination structure is from the Bengaluru City University, with internal assessment and semester examinations for every semester.
Night Life
Classes for practical subjects like R Programming and Tableau takes place till late evenings and it is safe environment, with transportation facilities available. Hostel is not available in college premises and the students take PGs available nearby locations like Malleshwaram. College does not have canteen facilities and have to go to nearby canteen.
