Campus Life

5

The campus life is good . there many events taking place in collge every month and many informative , awareness programs happening . The number of events taking place in this college is more than any college in andhra pradesh

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel and facilities given are parhetic here . This is is the major problem . There is no proper infrastructure and leaking rooms . But being a hosteller i have many beautiful and memorable memories to remember

Admission

As andhra medical college is top college in andhra pradesh and also 7th oldest college in providing medical education . it resides in the Vishakapatnam and there is beautiful beach for having fun and peace . And this makes college so special from others . The patient exposure and clinical experience is also very good here .

Faculty

5

There are 2 to 3 internal exams and 1 final exam for every professional year , this is a 5 year course with 1 year of internship , if we fail in final exam there are supplementary exams and if we fail in this also then we have to write exam the next year only

Night Life

Night life in vishakapatnam is a gem to speak about . The beauty of sea and the night street food , night rides makes the night so special . As there many places in and around the city which are a special attraction during nights

The time table of the circulum is best but they can still make it better by adding some revision classes for theory too. They have revision classes for practicals only . The classes are too fast so atleast they should add one revision class

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS is the only course that could make me a surgeon that I always wanted to become, hence I chose this course I choose this college due to its high patient load . I could also go to AIIMS Deogarh, Jammu, Guwahati, Madhurai or Jipmer Karaikal but I choose AMC over them is due to Patient load only. Here I can get good clinical exposure compared to those There are programs like Family Adoption programme, Early Clinical Exposure form the first year itself , and from second year only students go to ward postings. There is always real world application in this course This course particularly dont want any improvements in my opinion, NMC regulates and improves the curriculum in real time and that is implemented in this college perfectly. For every like 3 months we have internal exams to assess ourselves . And final exams in the last.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. First of all the joy to treat and cure a patient is irreplacable with any other branch. 2. You get to see real time patients all the way since 2nd year itself and understand how everything works in real time. 3.The exams have a gap of around 3 months and are moderate to difficult. 4. A more integrative teaching is needed.

The staff and the teaching make us feel happy for choosing this field. They give us pandemic modules and give us early clinical exposure so we can learn things earlier. But the teaching must not just stick on to classes but we need clinical training.
