Just SRM things

Well, i chose cse because of my interest in programming, but here not just here in whole India they focuses more basic engineering like civil and mechanical and not in programming based engineering, they train us in all fields of engineering. They should improve in sticking towards one motive, if its an computer science engineering they should be focusing more in programming field. The amount of assignments they give, which makes a very little time for the preparation of exams, which makes it a bit difficult but its easy as it comes from the syllabus.

The highest and average package offered during SRM placements in 2023 stood at INR 57 LPA and INR 7.50 LPA, respectively. Further, a total of 1,317 companies visited the campus for placements and provided over 9,011 offers to the students of the batch 2023. The top recruiters of SRM Institute of Science and Technology in 2023 included Microsoft, Google, Amazon, HCL, IBM, TCS, etc. During the SRM placements 2024, the participating recruiters provided over 5,546 job offers to the batch 2024 of various courses like BTech, MCA and MBA, etc.

From 3rd year 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. The companies visited were Amazon, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, HCL Technologies, TVS Motors and etc. Highest package- 57 LPA Average package- 7.5 LPA 60-70% students are being placed during their internship. My plans after getting the degree is higher studies if couldn't get a good package.

The registration fee for the srmjee exam was ?1,500. The fee structure for 1st year tution fee i paid was ?2,15,000 with scholarship of 10-15% and from the next year the tution fee will raise to ?2,45,000 and additional to that i paid (development fee) cdc (career development course) and book fee for ?40,000 which i have to compulsory pay for 4 years until the course completion. The scholarship available for students are SRM merit scholarship which is based on srmjee rank. My batchmates scored higher rank in srmjee exam so their tution fee structure is slightly different than mine.

Many hackathon, ideanova and ideathon are conducted in every 2-3 months, recently we had our technical festival TECH SPECTRUM where students from different colleges participated with SRM trichy students. The library mostly provides books related to management studies and from medical field. The classroom provides all facilities like ac, fan, smart board and security cameras. The campus offers sports activities too like volleyball, basketball, football and badminton there are clubs related to these sports. Yes, there are clubs related to technical and non technical fields. And social groups are not much active over here.

We have everything provided in our hostel rooms like ac/nonac rooms, study tables with plug point and light, wardrobe, bed, chairs, book shelf, attached washrooms and balcony. The meal quality is not so good and not so bad, depends person to person but yes its edible. During breakfast they provide bread jam, milk, coffee (everyday) and on different day different menu like someday puri, dosa, iddli, pongal, etc mostly south indian food and during lunch they mostly provide rice, sambar, with different side dish and chappati with daal and weekly once biriyani in lunch and during dinner iddli, dosa, chicken fried rice, cholle bhatoore. After the payment of tution fee and development fee, the next payment is for hostel and mess fee.

The university which i applied before SRM University was Chandigarh University, i wrote cucet exam and got 30-40% scholarship, but later i cancelled going over there because the campus life over there is very stressed and the faculties are not so well trained in some fields, the fee structure was quite higher compare to srm even after writing its scholarship exam and the last reason was travelling to North side and meeting my family rarely, so i decided not to go there and wrote srmjee exam. The addmission process of my college is based on srmjee, jee and management. The eligibility to apply for srmjee exam is 17+ with pcm or pcb or pcmb and 60% in 12th board exam.

Faculties are pretty good here. They all are knowledgeable in their fields. This campus has many facilities and even research scholars as faculty and the relationship between student and faculty is very friendly, they help clear our doubts whenever we want. SRM Trichy offers many course like aerospace engineering, btech cse, cse with specialization in aiml, data science, cybersecurity, EEE, ECE, etc. The exams conducted before the semester exams are for internals, internals carry 60% and sem exam carries 40% There are 2-3 CLA papers conducted before semester exam. The internal marking scheme is based on CLA's, attendance percentage, practicals, assignments.

We have gym in our hostels for both girls and boys and there is a restaurant near to our volleyball court and near to that we have a food truck. As we have gym inside our hostels so there is no particular timings and whereas for restaurant the timings are 9 AM to 10PM. And library timing 8 AM to 5PM. Hostel close timing for girls is 7PM and for boys is 8:30 PM The locality is very safe for boys to roam around at night, but girls are not supposed to stay out after 7 PM. The famous hangout places are mart which is inside the campus and central library and the food truck.
