Part of my life...

I take adimssion in the year 2022, at that time the college provide only normal degree program's not the Honor's. But now all the department provide Honor's programs. Our curriculum is outdated but now there were lot of changes in the curriculum. They were promote self study, MCQ model question pattern, study through visual perception etc..

The college placement and career guidance cell is dedicated to providing comprehensive support and resourses to empower students in making informed career decisions, bridging gap between education and employment opportunities. With a strong network of industry connection, the actively facilitates internship, job placement and workshop. Sheethal mam is incharge of placement cell. Many job drives and companies were corporate with college and students. The average package is 25000 for undergraduate students.

Iam currently studying final year Ba economics in uniom Christian college aluva. I take admission through mgu cap admission. Our college is a aided college and they provide various degree and masters with reasonable fee structure. I paid only 3500 rupees when I took admission. There is no need to pay the fee as the rest of the egrant scholarship is available. There were lot of scholership options for students like center sector scholership, higjer education scholership and snehatheeram scholership etc....Fees for management students should be more.My friend Admission was taken through management. The fee is 45000 for her.

Our library, parent teacher association, bliss (counseling center, jeevani, college cooperative society, multi gym, repographic center are the main features of our college. Our college consist of many active clubs like animal lover's club, anti narcotics club, Beck&call English theatre, boomitra club, NCC, NSS and d-trix club etc... And each student is encouraged to joint any extra- curricular activities like basketball tournament, hockey tournament etc..

Iam currently live in hostel. There were 6 womens hostel and 2 mens hostel in our college.All the hostel buildings were old so, the facilities are less compared to the other hostels. Each room containing 4 beds, 4 study table and chair and 2 fan. But our hostel food were good. Each month each hostel prepared the menu and at the end of the month the bill was also calculated by those hostel member's. Each month around 2400 for mess bill and 18000 is paid each year for the establishment fees.for our sorrounding there were lot of PG and rented rooms are avialable there.

I take admission in the year 2022 through mgu cap. Our college is aided so, comparatively less fees than other self financing colleges. Our college that distinguished itself it's cosmopolitan ans secular ethos, Christian and humanistic values, residential life and interdenominational management etc...the admission is done through the mahathama Gandhi university site named mgu cap. Merit based cutt of mark is above 90%. But the reservation students requires less than 90%.

Our college consist of 13 aided ug program's and 3 self financing ug programs. All the faculty members in those departments were highly qualified. In our department, economics faculty members were qualified NET with JRF, PHD and PDF. All the members are very friendly and helpful. Sunil sir is my favourite faculty in our department because he was friendly and approachable for student's. I have 6 semester exams in my under graduationand each semester we have 2 internals. At 6 sem we have an project also. Exams were comparatively easy but many students were faliled those exams is the irony of it.

The library at ucc has serving has the Central hub of teaching and learning activities for over nine decades. There were collection of 84000printed books, subscription to 6000+online journals and 3 million e-books through N-LIST program. Working time os 8.30am to 5.00 pm.All the hostellers have time restrictions to enter the hostel.so Night life is very much boring of those students.
