What Students Say
Likes
- So I liked almost all the things in the college. The college is spread across 600 acres. It is very bad. It is full of green lashes everywhere. There are people from different countries, different, different languages, Different cultures
- I also like my course, because I feel the education. The overall course is actually put out well. There might be a few courses that are not necessary or not needed. You might feel, but they are just us fun and extra curricular.
- I think the best part was Hostel is my Hostel and my college was very near. It was just five minutes walk on days. I would get late. I will reach on time. The safety is the best part about the entire College.
Dislikes
- I wouldn’t say I disliked anything, but there was this thing that they have a lot of trained dogs in college and I am very scared of dogs so that was the only scary factor in the college like I wouldn’t be scared of my safety, but I would be scared
- I think the mess food I did not dislike it, but I also understand since they cook for so many people like a huge population. The food taste obviously had to go for a toss.
Course Curriculum Overview
I think Lpu does have a very vast comprehensive curriculum and the teaching methods because they have lectures. They have classes and classes you do studies you do practical and you have practical exams. You have three assignments for the entire Sam for one subject depends on the subject, there could be 10 C A also, but that depends if it's a practical subject as well. That's why on teaching, why is the college that put an effort to teach you one thing in different ways, and it's up to you to gain it or not?
Placement Experience
Lpu does have a good placement offer. There are so many so many, so many companies coming in and out, mostly there of business development sales, so I did not obtain for placements because I wanted to make something in digital marketing, which was not as much coming to college when I was studying, so I had to choose a Company outside, even when the package given out was lower than what they given college because in college, obviously your sales company finance company operation company, obviously pay you higher. And there is no partiality for placements because it is it is like you will have at least one company coming for you. It's obviously not one company there are so many I had around 500 companies coming in like after I graduated so I still have placements coming from Lpu . I can have that for one year, I like that scheme so even if I leave my job, I can go there, but these companies were mostly sales which is a field. I did not want to go so I did not opt for that.
Fees and Financial Aid
so the very first fees you pay the exam fees for writing the entrance test, which is around, thousand rupees. so basically my fees was around 1,20,000 and I was offered 30% scholarship after writing the entrance test which made it to 90,000. So there were six semesters and I paid 90,000 for every semester and about the extra charges, there were exam fees which is different for every course, so for my course it was around 3000. For placement, we had 3000 only for like the placements of classes for all three years for other courses, it was different and for my batch mate so for my batch with the fees did differ because it's like the earlier you apply for the college for the entrance exam. You get the higher percent of scholarship, but it is very sure that you'll get at least 30% of you the scholarship.
Campus Life
in a college, we had a lot of clubs, dance club, singing club music club guitar club. There is this whole block named the division of student welfare, which is DSW so here people would come and join and clubs of their choice. Have a fun time practice in the evening, go for events. Participate in the we represent their own clubs in the events. So yeah for socialising. It is a very good environment. You do meet a lot of people. You learn their culture languages and I am a person who knew a lot of languages. I was always learning more languages, so I didn't meet a lot of people. I I have so many friends now from different countries that I met in Lpu , so I think my culture and my diversity. It's a very nice place quite social.
Hostel Facilities
Sofa, Hostel I did take for four seater. You have different options. You can take one seater, two seater, three seater, four seater, and you also have option for apartments which are quite heavy in costing and the Hostel charges were quite heavy. I had paid 70,000 for the first and 25,000 for mess, but I did not like that much that was healthy, but cook for so many people do know the taste is compromised. You just have to register yourself on the portal. If you want to opt for hostels and the fees gets in, there shows in your account to be paid. The fees was quite high for Hostel . I think. And if people wanna live outside, it's this area called Locket or Phagwara, which is nearby area where you can rent a PG with families and flats, et cetera
Admission
so the very first thing is, I did apply to Jain university initially because I thought I live near home. Then I wanted to explore other city. I was always living in the Southern part of the country, so I wanted to change that so that is when I decided that I can go to help you when it was always the top private college in the country, so I choose that and I did not have any second thoughts regarding that about the eligibility. I think you have crowd from most of the people are eligible. I'm not sure about the eligibility because I was eligible. For my course you need to write LPS, which is their entrance exam. So basically you pay around, thousand rupees based on your category. If you're a general person or if you're from other cast or categories, I was a general person so general category person, so I had to pay around thousand rupees and then I did give this exam and they gave me scholarship for 30% and I was eligible for the scholarship and Depends on the courses that you get in the exam. I do not know what is the exact cut-off, but there is a cut-off on which they give you the scholarship.
Faculty
so basically talking about the faculty members I think for every semester we had different faculty members a very less chance that this faculty member would repeat because obviously again the population was huge huge even in the faculty side and the student said and I think the ratio for our course for the faculty we had one faculty class and we had 35 to 40 students out of which many would not even attend the classes so that would be the poor class ratio. For our course bar for normal BBA. I didn't notice they were around 50 students to the faculty talking about my favourite teacher. There was a teacher named Indranil Mukherjee. He was not a faculty in college, but he was taking an external course which was a specialisation for digital marketing. In our course like my specialisation was digital marketing, so we had the score from DMI. He was taking classes from Bangalore. He was a really nice person. He would actually teach us rather than just you know going to PPT teaching, just like other colleges often do.
Night Life
Life. It was all good. We do have gym. We have cafeterias. We have cafeterias everywhere and even at night. If you're hungry, you could go to Hostel and have something to eat. The library is huge. The public area are huger if that is a word. so basically, there would be a certain timing that you would have to report your hostel for girls at 7 PM in the in Vendor and 8 PM in the summer, but you do have such huge Hostel , so you can always room around there. They're very bad. You have so many people you have Park. You have open gyms. You have cafeteria as you have shops very good. Buy essential things same as a case with boys areas are so many there are parks all around the college. There are there is literally a big park, and you have blocks in them. That's all.
