What Students Say

Likes

The infrastructure is good, campus has all required labs and other facilities
The girls to boys ratio is usually equal, often there are more girls in a class than boys
The college provides placements, which is something i appreciate and they need to improve

Dislikes

Library is huge but it doesnt have any fiction books, only engineering and research articles
Lots of examinations,tests, assignments, you will spend most of the time preparing for these
some courses dont meet the current industry needs and are outdated

Course Curriculum Overview

There should be less exams, no need to change their difficulty. There is no need for pointless assignments.Need more changes to the curriculum structure.Drop old courses that no longer needed by the industry.

Placement Experience

You are eligible for placements after 6 semester.The highest package last year was 18Lpa, and the average package 6lpa.Total the college received 534 offers and the placement session started 2 months ago.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual tuition fee is 1,25,000 rupees per year. You can get reimbursement of 35000 rupees per year from the state government after qualifying TsEamcet or TsEcet ( for diploma students) and meeting their criteria. Admission fee, lab and other fee cost about 5000 rupees. The college doesn't provide any scholarship or financial aid.

Campus Life

Students can join clubs from 2nd year. Annual technical and cultural fests are conducted.The library has a wide range of textbooks, research articles etc. You can borrow books from the library. Each class has a projector, to display ppts.

Hostel Facilities

The college hostel provides decent meals. The menu for morning is a tiffin, lunch and dinner is rice served with dal and curry. dal and sambar is a provided everyday. There are a lot PGs and hostels near the college. The college hostel charges annual fee of 61,000 rupees for accomodation and food.

Admission

PCM students who cleared TSEAMCET and Diploma students who cleared TS ECET are eligible to apply. Students who cleared AP-EAMCET and JEE are also Eligible.The college is affordable and provides decent education. I applied to other colleges but couldnt get in because of reservation cutoff.

Faculty

the one faculty takes a class of 60 students. They are usually good, they do their job diligently. I dont like Anusha madam, she is quite inexperienced. The exams are moderate but strictly conducted. If you are found cheating, you will be detained. you will have to wait an year.

Night Life

Library and cafeteria are good places to hangout. Apart from that there are no places to hangout.Seperate Hostels for both girls and boys is located within the college.College is from 9 am to 4 pm. People usually hangout outside the college after it is finished.

Thinking Beyond Academics and Placements , life at BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus.

Placement Experience:

Placement here are going on pretty well considering the recession that hit the market in recent years,student become eligible for placements from the first sem of their final year , typically 7th semester for single degree students (BE) and 9th semester for dual degree students (Msc+BE),as per the recent cycle around 310+ companies including Google, MIcrosoft,Goldman sachs etc. had visited campus with offer majorly ranging from 18 to 27 lpa , the highest package last cycle (domestic) was for 65lpa and average aroun 21 lpa. The perecentage of students getting placed is above 80% and remaining usually go on for pursuing masters or already have a PPO from the Practice School Internship.I personally will be sitting for placements in my last year and will be hoping to land a good offer.

Placement Experience:

Internships starts from spring break of 4th sem and placements start from spring break of 6th sem ( if you don't get a PPO ) Many big companies like Microsoft , Oracle , DeShaw and Qualcom visit the college. More than 80% of student that are eligible for placements get placed while the others get off campus placements or opt for higher studies. My plans after getting th degree depends on the CTC of package I get offered. If it is not upto my expectation I will pursue higher education abroad.

the main reason for me to choose this college is that it is nearer to my house comparing my college on different parameters which I applied for are distance to travel and it seems the best in my town the reason why I was unable to make it into top most of the colleges is that I haven't studied up to the mark the admission process is simple you must have to qualify ts eamcet and then apply for counseling then cross-check with the previous years rankings relevant to the college and apply to the course.
