Course Curriculum Overview

I was actually interested in NDA .so as an NDA aspirants I was also interested in merchant navy so as I was interested in that ,I thought of attending the IMU CET exam and cleared it .And in the curriculum prepares students for real world applications

The main companies which offers placement and internship are TORM, FLEET, SEAMAN , SYNERGY, CHEVRON etc . Some also provide scholarship for female student like Synergy. And some companies conduct interviews and all

From second years itself companies starts giving placement offers . Also the percentage of placement here is 100% so I hope I will also get placed in a good company and for that there should not be any arriers

Fees and Financial Aid

In one year we need to pay 122000 * Caution fee is nearly 30000 rs *There is egrand and all for st/science students *Registration fee is nearly 10000 *You need to clear the IMU CET exam for getting admission here *There is no lab fees need to be payed

Campus Life

The campus life here I'm having is amazing. There are annual festivals like Onam celebration, divali celebration, Holi celebration etc. also they contect food fest, book fest, etc. There are Many programs going on here to promote students who are interested in extra curricular activities

Hostel Facilities

Hostel rooms are nice and they provide both bed and pillow .they have attached and non attached bathrooms . Hostel fee , mess fee everything is included in the total fee for the course.And they provide male and female warden also

Admission

I choose this universe mainly because it's a central government University and it's near to my locality and it will be convenient for me to travel back and forth from my home to this university.Also this university was my first option and I got selected in 3rd list .

Faculty

The faculties working here are friendly , and they maintain a good relationship with the students. There are too many faculties I liked here and I don't want to mention their names as it is against the will of the respective faculties. In case of exams there are total 2 internal exams and one sem end exam .

Night Life

Mainly we can't roam around the college as we wish .there are restrictions after some time like 11 pm... We can roam inside the campus .like it's a 14 acres of land and it provides good atmosphere and all .

A Decent College for BSc chemistry students

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choosed this degree for me to pursue higher studies in uk or foreign country to study cosmetics related field. So for that bsc chemistry degree must have But this curriculum doesn't teach something base to that I think so.. For further studies the teachers need improvement to teach certain topics some teachers didn't even prepare to study students and lab safety is not in the lab.Because of the teaching the portions are done in last minutes and often exams are difficult in major subjects so they need to improve their study methods and often approach students nicely..

Why you should/shouldn't join LISSAH

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is almost best. Curriculum doesn't influenced me in deciding this course. Curriculum should add internships. Currently there is no mandatory internship, if students are interested they can do internship during vacations. As we are learning psychology which need to be practiced in real world settings, curriculum must include real world training to help students understand things more effectively. Currently intervel between exams are non existent. Internal exams, then semester exams, you blink once, next internal exams, followed by semester exams. Syllabus is understandable, can learn if you try. Exams are also manageable. Real world examples and stories can be included in teaching methods, as psychology is related to humans and human interaction, to get better grasp of concepts. Rather than focusing on passing exam, should focus on the concepts and understand them in-depth. There are a lot of theories to study by heart. And there are many repetitive topics that overlap, but in different semesters.

Placement Experience:

From semester 5 the opportunity to get a job is out there. Many companies comes to interview and they swlect the apt ones. Sun, Mahendra etc are some of the companies i remember. The highesr package for freshers is like 15000 a month. There is a high percentage of students getting placements its 80-85%.My plan is to study masters.

I chose Bsc electronics, it has an attractive curriculum and some of them are influenced me in some way. The facilities are well-known about the curriculum preparing and all. The current curriculum is good but it needs some changes. Include more practicals is one of my suggestion. Teaching methods are good it doesn't need any change. Exams are conducted by Kerala University, so the college can't do anything in main exams but the college will complete all the portions before the exam date it is sure.

IMU KOCHI real experience

First we have to appear in entrance exam called IMU CET. We need to register from IMU website. It is a computer based exam, but we have to physical go to an exam center and give the exam there on their computer. The syllabus for the exam is class 11 & 12 Phy, chem, maths, english, and reasoning and aptitude, all the requirements is mentioned in the IMU website. After exam is cleared we will get rank based and if we are qualified then we need to choose which college we need. If we belong to Sc/ST Or obc we will have some concession. This exam is conducted once in a year in the month of june Or July, it is a average exam. Reservation befinifits is also available. Indian maritime University is the best in terms of giving the courses in field of merchant navy

After the 12th you can join this college and should have 60% in PCM in the 12th standard. IMU CET entrance exams are conducted by IMU and after clearing that exam we have to appear for counselling at IMU Chennai for the college's opt-out process then we can complete the course and fee structure around 2 lacks per annum. After completion of the course we can join the ship as a training officer and then after completing training exams will be conducted for 2nd mates and clearing those exams we become 2nd officer of the ship...Read More
