Course Curriculum Overview

4

The frequency of the exams is 2 times a year once in the month of December and once in the month of May. Internal exams (tests) are conducted in between to continuously evaluate you during the course. According to me, the exam should be conducted before itself, so that we can get more time for internship opportunities.

Internships Opportunities

3

For the course to complete one is required to do internships compulsorily in various semesters. There are interships opportunities provided by the Delhi University like Vice Chancellor Intership Scheme. Those who do not do internships are required to do projects under any faculty of Cluster Innovation Centre. There are internship opportunities provided by CIC also.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees is 40,000 from 2023 onwards. Till 2022 it was 10,000 per year. The fees is same for every category be it OBC, EWS, SC, ST or any other. Financial Support Scheme is provided to economically weaker students each year by the University of Delhi which provides a maximum of 10,000 rupees.

Campus Life

4

The campus life here is average. There are not much fests of the college. One main tech fest is organized by college every year in the month of February March. Students generally take part in the fests of other colleges of Delhi University. You get a free pass to the Central Science Library which is located just a few metres away from the college. There you can study from 9 to 8 pm on every working days. There are a lot of tech related books in the library. You can get those book issued also for studying at your home. The facilities inside the classroom includes free wifi facility, desks with charging ports so that you can get your laptops charged easily. Projectors are there for teaching. ACs are also there. There are some societies run by the college students like Robotics Society(which recently was awarded prize in the competition in IITs), Literary Club. Photography society, Debate Society etc.

Admission

I chose this college over the other college I had applied for because of its unique course structure. The course structure of this college is multidisciplinary and includes both Information Technology and Mathematics. Also, the course is much economical as compared to other colleges and universities. The one thing which this college lack is the absence of placement cell of the college. I was not able to appear for JEE exams. So out of those colleges which offered the engineering course through CUET exam this was the best college I found. So, I took admission here. The admission procedure of the college includes filling up the form first after appearing in CUET exam. You can see the admission procedure in detail on site of delhi university. (du.ac.in). The stage 2 involves course selection. You fill your preferences of courses and colleges you want to apply in a sequence. Then a college is allotted to you based on your performance in CUET exam. I had applied for BHU university and several other private colleges in which I was able to get admission based on my CUET number. But I chose this one due to the reason stated before. The cutoff for the B.Tech coures goes around 540 for General students out of 650.

Faculty

4

Most of the faculties of the college are good. The faculty to student relationship is also good. They are very much approachable. They are very cooperative and help the students most of the times in any matter. Computer faculties are the best. They teach you very deeply and make you understand the things from basics. But on the other hand there are faculties who do not teach well. They want you to learn things by yourself. They act as a mentor. But they also guide you very well if you ask them something. The course is of 8 semesters. There are 7 exams each semesters i.e. we study 7 courses each semester out of which 3 are core courses and other four includes Ability Enhancement Core Courses, Skill Enhancement Courses, Value Addition Courses etc. The exams are easy. They are not difficult to pass. Very less students are there who fail to clear the exam. The course curriculum is relevant especially of Core courses.

Night Life

4

There is a multipurpose hall just in front of the college in which you can get access to various sports activities and can do gyms also. For that you have to get a form signed by the college and pay the fee of 100rs month. Around the college there are a lot of food points, canteens etc. It is very difficult to get hostels. One or two boys students from each batch get a hostel every year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university doesn't beat around the bush while deciding the courses. They have picked only the subjects and the curriculum that are suitable for our field and focus on making us future-ready. Some subjects might seem a little fast-paced, but if you are consistent enough, you won't face any problems. It is safe to say that the exams and things taught in most the subjects are same to that of its so there is no lacking behind in that aspect.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college used to be good, with almost 100% placement rates. But that hasn't been the case lately. There has been a significant drop in placement rates from the past couple of years, mainly because of the lack of job oppertunities and declining job markets. But, the placements are still better as compared to private colleges, NITs and newer IITs. The placements here are conducted in 2 phases. Phase 1 placements start in August- September, with the interviews starting from 1 December. The phase-2 placements start from January and then go on for entire semester. The student becomes eligible for sitting in placements in their 7th semester. While phase 2 placements are still not over for this year, I can share the placements stats of previous year. Around 70% students sitting for placements got placed. Rest students either prepare for civil services, or for higher studies like M.Tech, MBA,PhD, etc., but their percentage is very less. Most students come here only for internships and placements. The average package package for previous year was around ?15-16 LPA, and median package was around ?14 PLA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is relevant and comprehensive, with practical modules and industry-focused content that influenced my choice. It effectively bridges academic knowledge with real-world applications. However, adding more case studies and interdisciplinary approaches could enhance learning. Exams are well-timed but could better assess critical thinking. Teaching methods would benefit from integrating more interactive and hands-on sessions.
