Likes
- Faculty, campus, library, sports, and i like the canteen there are two actually , best teachers and best labs
- I like the availability of classes there are separate buildings actually for each department like fir sciences, commerce and arts
- There is also one thing i like that is the clubs, like student development cell, the student council, music clubs , red cross societies, NCC and NSS
Dislikes
- The benches and the classes are not that good as the college is 124 years old but new buildjngs have best classes
- Sometimes there is shortage of faculty actually
- My college is not that strict for attendance you can see students roaming in the ground without havjng tension of attendance shortage
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course bexause i want to become a college professor of physics, I assume my course is aligning with my career option i mean i am going well towards my goal There is best you want in teaching in my college best teachers, best teaching method in bsc. There are semester exams after every six months and mid term semester exams also
Placement Experience
There are no campus placement actually but if go anywhere is my district and tell them you are here for a job and you are student for scd govt. College you have highest priority of getting that job from other job seekers as i know 95 peecent of students are employed from my college The famous personality david dhawan and nihal wadera are from my college and other famous personalities also
Fees and Financial Aid
In odd semesters you have to pay admission fee in my case of bsc non med its around 8000 to 9000 and in even semesters you have to pay examination fee which is around 3000 The course which are not coming under heis have high fees my friend in B.Com have around 22000 fees for odd semesters and around 3000 fees for even semesters You will various types of scholarships like Dr.BR ambedkal scholarshil Low income scholarship Sports scholarships Sc/St scholarships After availing these scholarships you can easily manage studies and fees Also there is scholarship for girls The admissisons are ok merit basis, the marks you scored in 12th
Campus Life
There are many events perfomed here like annual spory week , lohri function is the most famous function of our college in all over punjab , and they keep launching new events previous month the famous singer satinder sartaj came for a show to our college There are lots of books in our livrary also there is a section od e-books so you can read the world
Admission
I didn't applied for any other college actually, i choose this college because its the best in my district in terms of popularity and placement , peaople admire those students who study in tiis college. Admission process is simple you have to apply online of college website them tou will get a confirmation mail and sms to visit college for document verification if your marks are above the cut off list of course for science its eighty percent and for arts and commerce its arount 60 to 70 percent and yah its all done pay your first sem fee to confirm admission
Faculty
As i said shortage of faculty is there so the ratio is 1:50 around the studenta in class are 100 bit only 50 will attend classes, i like dinesh sir, and rahul sir beacuse they are strict, funny and they are best in there fields dinesh is author of 17 books about physics two of them are internation and rahul sir is an expert in delaing with students. I don't like neeraj mam because she is less in teaching and more in trying to act as cool and sneeking into student's life
Night Life
Our college have gym, cafeterias, library and a good ground. There are two canteens actually one is cafeteria and one is for actual food you want There are separate boys and girls hostels with there separate mess You can hangout in cafeteria and best place to hangout is the adventure park there is an adventure part sponsored by Mountain dew brand that is so much fun And it is safe to roam around here
