Course Curriculum Overview

3

Curriculum and courses are upto date for every batches which makes students and faculties up to dated. Curriculums are familier to latest technologies and real world problem solutions as well. Industrial visits are also done once or twice a year. There are few of the things where university should focus on improving course curriculum and teaching methods. Most of the teachers are good on theoritical knowledge but few of them are lacking technical and practical knowledges but this can be improved by providing weekly/monthly tranings on their respective fields. Exam timing are good here, internal exams happens in every 2 months and students who are regular to college can easily pass those exams. Meanwhile, final end semester exams will be slightly difficult than internals and hard working students can easily fass the exams.

Internships Opportunities

4

Every year in 7th semester campus placements starts where more than 90% students get placed in their specific domains. Companies like Junglee Games, Ankercloud, Groww, PhonePe,etc have offered may students with stipend above 30000 for the role of Software engineer, ML engineer, Full stack developer, etc. Many students have praised about their company mentioning that they got opportunities to learn lots of things from the internship which helped them to grow them even more.

Placement Experience

4

Placements in Jain University is better than any other private universities in bangalore. More than 90% students get placed every year in their specific domain. Many renouned companies visits and offer students every year. The placement season begins from 7th semester and students have 65% and above in 10th, 12th and Bachelors will be available for the placement. Well known companies like oracle and groww recently visited jain university with package of 15LPA+ and more than 10 offers were made. The highest packaged offered is 42LPA in JusPay for the role of Software Engineer and the average package of placement is in between 6 to 7LPA. I have already been placed for the role of SDE in Ankercloud Technologies through college placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

The actual fee for Computer Science Engineering with specialization students is 400000 per year and for other engineering branches like civil, aerospace, mechanical is 300000 per year. Scholarship will be provided based on JEE Mains exam or JET (Jain Entrance Test). All the tuition fees, registration fees, admission fees and lab fees will be included in the annual fee only. Rs. 1500 should be paid as an exam fee every semester.

Campus Life

3

There are lots of clubs and forums in Jain university. Clubs like Google Developer Student Clubs, The Turing Clubs conduct various tech events every year in the month between January to March. Other forums like Samasti and Samata conducts extra curricular activites like Infinity which has even more students involvent. Jain has well structure and resourced libraries which are easily accessible to every students who wants to explore extra knowledges and domains as well. Every classrooms have Wifi facility along with projectors and white screens. Sports facility and infrastructures are really good in jain university with football and cricket stadiums along with badminton and tennis courts. Their is also horse riding tracks available. All the events and club activities are manages by the students and the fourms only.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel is a bit expensive in jain university but hostel rooms are fully furnished with sufficient spaces along with attached bathroom. Power and water backups are their for 24hrs with good internet speed. Food is also good but it will be slightly difficult for north students at the beginning but you will get used to later on. Hostel registration process can be done during or after the admission at university. Students can first visit hostel and taste foods then they can take admissions.

Admission

I had also applied for SRM University, Chennail but being Tech student it is good studying in Bangalore than in Chennai. The main reason I choose Jain University is it's location in Bangalore. Their are other colleges in bangalore as well but i found jain best among other based on their placement result, infrastructures and campus life. I was offered from both SRM and Jain but i choose jain for the reasons i explained above. Jain admission process is very simple. They will take admission based on either JEE Mains or JET (Jain entrance test). If you passed any of these exams then you will be eligible to take admission at Jain University with scholarship otherwise full fee will be charged.

Faculty

4

Most of the faculties in jain university are friendly to students and helpful. They will always be available on or off time of college. I like almost all faculties who teaches me. Their will be 3 exams on every semester. First two will be internals in every 2 months and last will be final end semester exams. Students who are regular to college and studies on regular basis can easily pass the exams meanwhile few of the lazy students get failed. All the notes and important questions will be provided by the faculties on time.

Interview Experience

3

Admission policy is very simple here, one can either clear JEE Mains or JET (Jain Entrance Test) to be eligible to take admission in Jain University. Students with good percentile will also be awarded with the scholarship as well. Preparing for these rounds is not that difficult, you can simply clear all the English Physics Chemistry and Maths concepts that you studied in you 11th and 12th.

Night Life

2

Nightlife is not that good here in College. you are not allowed to rome around college specially for girls after 9PM. Gym will be open from 6AM to 8PM and cafeteria also gets closed at 9Pm but library will be open till 11PM. Public area is ampethereter which will be always open for students but we should maintain silence their. Hostel is inside the College premises only that's why their is no hostel timing but you should enter inside college gate by 9PM if you are outside the campus gate. All the students hangout mostly in hostel gallaries and ampethereter only discussing about their own topics. Overall nightlife is not that good in college.

the placements oppurtunity are there and you can grab a very good paackage from here. The highest is around 44 , average is 7 lpa. Students become eligible for final placemnts from 6-7 semester. Companies like thermo fisches , fractal , belc , hitachi and many other, have visited. The percentage of placemnt is quite high but people grabbing more than 30lpa is very few. after degree i want to go for job directly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Honestly I don't a thing about the relevance of the curriculum, this curriculum thingy has been changing every now and then in our college I hope atleast they stick to one curriculum and make us study that and don not change it further. As I've mentioned before, I was not informed in prior about the syllabus so obviously there's no specifi aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course. I think the curriculum will prepare me to face the world way more wisely and strategically than how I'd deal with it otherwise. I think one area they can improve is in physics, they can give us more seminars, projects and stuff to check our understanding. That would really help a lot of people to be creative and help people to get the exposure. Coming to the difficulty level of the paper, I know nothing because I haven't written the sem exam yet so, I know nothing. But, can guarantee one thing!! Be careful, cause as per sources our college is known for it's tough question paper, so y'all better study.
