Course Curriculum Overview

1

Holidays will be given less in medical college but don't worry you can skip/ bunk classes according to your attendance %. Minimum requirement of attendance is 75% for theory and 80% practicals. CBME Curriculum is worst as always exams will be set bindly affecting our festivals enjoyments, gatherings and weddings etc. This would to most of the hostelites. Give the Priority during choice filling to the college near your hometown

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly fees of my college is 3,30,000 for yr 2023 students and it can increase in the upcoming years. We have pay 1,65,000 for 1st 6 months initially then the remaining for the next. Course duration is 5.5years in which you have to pay for 4 years and the final year is internship year. There are various scholarships programmed for financially backward families. Like MYSY which gives 2lacs scholarship , CMSS ,kanya kelavni for the girl student

Campus Life

1

Im currently a 2nd year student and i can tell from my experience that this would a worst college to pick if you are a outsider or not from baroda. Because there are literally no facilities in hostel and they make you live in a mess with all sorts of unorganized management. Only consider this college only if its In your hometown

Hostel Facilities

1

A room full of spider webs and tons of dust with Just a old rusted fan and a dim tubelight. There is no cleaning staff assigned to clean hostel room. You have to manually clean your room by yourself and one more the hostel room is 3 in 1 sharing room. So, the space for living is too less. Mess food quality is worst several times there are cases when there is insect in mess food, lizards running in utensils, etc still college management has not taken any action over this messwala from years. I would totally suggest to avoidd mess food as much as possible. Water quality from the filters is also not at all good. The filters are never cleaned since years. I go intern/resident hostel to fill my water jugs and bottles every day. PGs in vadodara are kind of expensive i can name some like stanza oslo house etc. but if you are coming try to get a PG instead if getting into hostel. We future docs even though we are living in such a bad environment and conditions. After paying a hefty fees of 3.5 lacs wtf!

Admission

I had applied to all the government medical colleges in my state but I didn't get any of those i was just 4 marks (1ques)close to the closing marks for the a government college. Admission in medical colleges can be done by giving NEET paper

Faculty

1

I can't talk about Faculty much because in medical college teachers are of no use they just come to read ppt slides blindly and get their monthly pay that's it. Even students don't know the names of some faculty. Their no such thing as student faculty relationship in most mbbs colleges. There are 2 internal examination of 100 marks , prelims , uni/proff (final examination which decides that will student get promoted next year). Internal examination and weekly test decides your internal marks which should be maintained at the end of year to get promoted to next year. Failing in either of the exams doesn't affect much but yours internals should be enough (more than 50%) to get you promoted. Failing in uni and prelims would lead to remedials (re examination)which ofcourse is not a good thing. One should study enough to pass these 2 important examination.

Nowadays exams dates are getting flexible but mostly they are in march to May month Yes, it's tough enough as it is one of the most valued and tough qualification exams. In college, we get many exams monthly very hard though. But the main exams are 3 exams 2 internal exams one is midterm 2nd is before the final exams on full syllabus like preliums And the 3rd one is the final exam university exam ya all of them are very hard to pass.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Choosing the medical field was my dream since childhood. This college provides the perfect environment for studies and overall development required for students. Being the highest ranked medical College in Gujarat and constantly bagging a good ranking in all Indian medical College rankings there are no loopholes in the academic part provided by the college. There are well-experienced and passionate professors and the tutor to students ratio is more than sufficient. Since I joined the college there hasn't been a lecture that went vacant. While talking of academic curriculum our college strictly follows the curriculum provided by NMC. The professors are very much qualified in their field having done their post-graduation and higher studies from the b.j Medical College Ahmedabad itself or various top-notch colleges across India. The testing and marking scheme of the exams are competitive with top colleges. The tests are never delayed and the schedule is tightly monitored.
