Comprehensive Review of JIIT Noida

Curriculum of the college is of a relevant level as it is designed on the basis of learning outcomes. The curriculum specially the lab curriculum is designed to help us understand practical things and help us related theoretical subjects. The curriculum could be designed better to make it more student friendly by adopting ways to enhance conceptual and deep learning. Frequency of the exams is very high we have to give exams or viva or practical every 2-3 weeks.

Our college gives internship opportunities from 3rd year itself. Cisco gave 88000 +10000(accomodation) for 2 months summer internship for role of technical undergraduate intern. JP Morgan Chase gave 75000(stipend) per month for 2 months internship for role of summer intern. Google also gave internship to one student. I am currently preparing for internship roles myself and am giving regular tests for internship at various companies. I am preparing projects so that I can become better to get internship at top companies.

Students generally become eligible in their 4 th year. Many students also get PPO based upon their summer internship in various companies. Many companies like google, cisco ,Atlassion have offered packagees to students for SDE role. Packages from product based companies is like 15 -17 lakhs whereas packages from service based companies like TCS is from 4-5 lakhs per annum. Highest package was given by Atlassion for 58 lakhs. Average package was of 11 lakhs per annum. Generally 90 percent from CSE department gets placed whereas 70 percent from ECE get placement offers. My plan after getting degree is to get into IT company and advance my career.

Continuation of scholarship is given to students having more than 7 gpa per semester.

Impression is annual fest organised by college in the month of February. Various other technical fests like Cyber chisti is also organised throughout the year. The LRC(Learning Resource Centre) is equipped with thousands of textbooks, E-books,research papers and journals. It's Fully air conditioned. Each classroom is equipped with projector so that teachers can show us slides and run codes in the projector. Classroom are also air Conditioned. As our campus is small so very few sports facilities are their although there is one basketball court in our college. There are many society like, Debsoc (Debate), Robotics club, competitive programming club. These clubs and societies really helps us in learning real life skills and grooming our personality for leadership roles

The hostel facility is really good and clean. Generally 2 students share one room. There are 2 tubelights, two study tables and a balcony to get fresh air. Meal quality is mixed sometimes it's really tasty but sometimes it's not. They give a balanced diet as much as possible. Registration process starts happening before the semester starts and the students have to deposit fees for hostel beforehand. Hostel affordability is a very big issue as it's very expensive (one lakh per semester).

I really only applied for this college only as my marks in JEE exam was not very good. This course and this college I was getting seemed suitable to me. Furthermore this college was near my hometown so it was much better to take admission in it. Everyone wants to get admission in good IITS or NITs but I didn't got good marks in JEE so I took admission in this college. In retrospect I really think that I should have worked more hard for my JEE exam You have to fill the college form online. After the declaration of results you will be called for counseling based on your rank .In which you have to be present physically, you will then be allocated branch based upon your preference and availability. After accepting the seat you have pay the admission fees and one time caution fees.

The faculty to student ratio is that one teacher teaches a class of 60 students. There are T1 T2 and end sem exams. T1 and T2 exam are of 20 marks each and end sem are of 35 marks which totals to 75 marks rest 25 marks are given by teacher as projects , quiz, assignment. Most teachers are approachable and personally I didn't faced much problems with teachers. the best teacher I personally met was Prantik Biswas who was really supportive and friendly nature. The course curriculum is good specially the lab curriculum which helps us understand practical things.

No there were no GD or interview questions that were asked for taking admission. The only criteria is that you have to have a valid rank in JEE mains exam or 12 th marks. Based on your rank and seat availability they give the seat.
