Course Curriculum Overview

I choose B.Com because i like finance world i want to become CA thats why I'm doing bcom side by side our college faculties prepare us according to real world by giving best examples thats suit on real life working only thing i want to suggest our college to accept modernization like use e-books, or presentation teaching methods. MST are generally of 1.5 hours thats enough time to attempt 40 marks exams. And main semester exams are of 3 hours and that's a perfect time to attempt any exam.

Hey I'm sahina student of my precious college Guru gobind singh college for women chandigarh sector 26. Our college is having a great infrastructure as well as discipline. During my admission time i visit college everyone was so cooperative i don't face any issue regarding my admission Abhishek sir and tena ma'am helps me alot. Firstly i paid 700/- rupees only for admission form ( registration fees ) then i paid 30000/- for my first year fees there is no other charges are college took from me. My some friends are from SC/ST quota they are getting 1st preference for admission seats are reserved for them also they are having a benefits of scholarship sports quota students are also having a benefits from college like getting scholarships or help from university and college for their game students.

Campus Life

Our college held sukhmani path for freshers thats so peaceful. I personally liked this because no one college do this for there students welfare our college promotes social wellness also. Library is having more than 2000+ books daily newspapers are available there in 3 languages. Classes are well maintained edu-comps are also available

Admission

I applied for DAV College,sector 10 or SD college and last Guru gobind singh college for women firstly i got a call from Dav college but personally i dont like atmosphere there. No rules and regulations after that i skipped that college and took admission in guru gobind singh college

Faculty

Every faculty is having a 40 students in one class. Every faculty is so cooperative with students even after class they help every student regarding studies or anything they need to discuss about. Personally i liked every teacher how is having my course because they are so experienced and there teaching style so impressive. In bcom there is 8 subjects so each subject have their exam. Exams are moderate almost every student passes the exam.

Learning and Growth at PGGC-11

Placement Experience:

The students can sit for placements in their final year of course. The tricity based companies come for campus placements for jobs that need strong communication skills and basic knowledge of their domain. The maximum package that was offered goes up to 5 LPA, and the average packages are lower than this arounf 3 LPA. I wanted to go for Post Graduation so did not opt for campus placement.

THE LIFE AT DAV COLLEGE

Placement Experience:

We do have a training and placement cell which is run mostly run by both students and teachers. Students with good percentile can sit for placements and can get place into companies which are mostly from BPO and sales background. Students are eligible for campus placements in their 5th semester. Companies which have came in our college in 2024-2025 are Sri ram insurance , Kotak insurance , Planet spark , De shaw , Zomato etc. Highest package offered is around 5 LPA and average package is around 1.5 LPA. I have planned to go for higher studies after my graduation, most probably I will be doing MBA.

Placement Experience:

In the last semester that is 6th semester the placement drive is started. Every year 3-4 companies come to the college and 50% of the students are placed from the students who appeared in the drive. Decathlon came who gave the highest offer for 35000 per month. Profile they offer is analyst, client relation, assistant etc . I will now pursue my Post graduation

Every thing about PU USOL

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I am a commerce student as well as I am doing CA so I selected to do BCom from USOL as it has fewer restrictions than regular college as discussed classes there were 7days classes in which important topics was covered by well-qualified educator and also USOL gives us the opportunity to give feedback on classes If we take about papers USOL students only give main semester paper there was not any practical or mst for Bcom internal assessment Mark are based on the mark of theory or main sem papers. And they also give notes to students for studies.

The best college in india

Entrance Preview:

My admissions was done on the basis of marks scored in 12 th standard. As I had scored 80 percent marks I got admission on merit basis, as the seats are limited to 250 approx. This college is the best college in the city its comes under Punjab university which is recognized in entire world. So I was determined to get admission in this college and luckily I got the admission.

Pros and cons of my college

Eligibility criteria - 50 percent marks in class 12th , admission is on the merit basis on the basis of number of seats of colleges. You can find the application form on Panjab University website it is common form for all the 11 colleges in chandigarh under panjab university after submitting the form we will get the notification within one month if u get selected in any college. You will get the call for admission process from the college it's your call whether to select or reapply for counseling and resubmit form and wait for the college of your choice. There are total 3 online counselling rounds and 2 to 3 rounds of offline counselling in the vacant colleges. Admission process is bit difficult for new students but you can search on YouTube how to fill the form . You have to select according to preference in serail wise order....Read More
