Likes
- Campus and infrastructure is better than any other university. It has everything from well maintained classrooms to labs,huge library,sports facilities and various on campus cafeterias.
- Faculty are well qualified with years of experience . With their knowledge they make teaching relavant to real world applications.They provide mentorship throughout the session which helps students in college life and personal life as well.
- Amity also provides placement services and career support as they have tieup with many reputed companies and placements cells and coordinators are very active. They also prepare students on how to grab placement opportunities which make them differen
Dislikes
- Fees of courses can be little affordable as charging 5% more every year makes it very expensive and puts loads on parents pockets or students who are not that financially well.
- Too much assignments load creates burden on students and can become a major distraction in studies. As every faculty gives 2-3 assignments per semester in every subject which is too much to do while studying.
- 75% mandatory attendance is something students hate because if it’s not 75% then they doesn’t allow students to sit in that particular exam which may lead to disruptive result of the student.
Course Curriculum Overview
They design curriculum according to upcoming trends in mind they organise guest lectures various workshops. And also provide students with internships so that students gain on site experience. They also update their curriculum on regular basis which helps in managing with new changing demands. They also insist students to enroll in open elective courses depending course to course which are benificial for students as they help in gaining skill and knowledge about more subjects.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee starts from 79,000/sem which increases 5% every year per semester which means in 2nd year it will be 82,950 and in 3rd year 87,090. There's no such category discount for anyone.They do have scholarships available for students.
Campus Life
My overall experience going on with campus life is so happening,vibrant and fun. Numerous fests including Amity youth fest makes amity standout in social events. There are also various seminars,guests talks with guests speakers from all over the world which enhance both personal and academic growth. Club involvement makes it easier to build bonds make friends with the people you match vibe with or share the same interest. Amity well equipped classes and labs, library also sports facilities areas provides comfortable and engaging environment. Campus also have a lot of spots and cafeteria offering different kind of environment.
Admission
The college I applied to started their admission process much later than Amity. Since my admission process was already completed by that time i gave interview and secured my admission here so i didn't wanted to take a risk and loose seat i had secured i decided to carry on with my studies in Amity rather than waiting for my chance in waiting list where the seats were already limited.
Faculty
The faculty members of amity university comes with mix of academic and industry experience .Teaching methods varies course to course and department too. Study material is also provided by the faculty for students exam preparation. Course is semester based with course designed modules every semester . Each semester covers set if major subjects along with open elective courses which are decided by department.
