Course Curriculum Overview
My main criteria to choose this college was the Fees to opportunity ratio that is quite good as the college had very less fees as compared to other colleges and the Teacher per student ration is also high and our college's Director General Arun S. Bhatnagar Sir's Management is so perfect he takes care of all the students requirements, The Resources in the college are very good as wifi facilities are also available, There are new Computers placed in Computer labs and AIML branches and every other has access to The computers with Dedicated GPU's of NVIDIA for Higher computation tasks.
Internships Opportunities
The speciality about our college is in 3rd year the college provided us the chance to get paid oncampus interships from different startups and companies, that is not provides by most or I'll say none of the colleges like Zangoh, Mobicule, etc companies visited us for internship opportunities.
Placement Experience
Considering the fees you pay the placements are quite good as most of the Indore IT companies visit here including mass recruiters like, TCS Accenture, and many more. The best this is our placement policy as our Placement department doesn't restrict us to sit on very limited placements as we can sit on n number of companies even after getting an offer letter from a company.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure at IIST Indore is quite affordable, especially when compare to other institutes offering similar courses. The college provides all the necessary facilities such as modern labs, libraries, hostels, and other amenities, makin git a greater value for money, overall college fees is around 70k-80k. The over all fees is around 70k(including development fees, lab fees and other compulsary charges) and that may warry according to your marks or any scholarships, the caution fees is around 1.5k - 5k, bus fassility is also available at affordable that is around 15k. Many scholarships are also available including TFW too, There are lots of opportunities like sports, cultural events, fests, etc for the overall development of an individual. I would rate the affordability and all the necessaties to be around 4.0/5. pros: Affordable compared to other colleges. Modern facilies and good faculty. Cons: Slight fee hikes anually. Management quota fees are higher.
Campus Life
The overall experience is quite good as there are lots of opportunities of socializing with the peer as in CS side there are lots of Hackathons and many more technical events happens in our college so we get lots of chances to socializ with others and there are so restrictions for cross Department teams as we can team up with AIML or ECE department students being a CS department students. Many extra carricular activities are also performed in here like Sports events and dev fests and cultural fests every now and then, we celebrate every festival with joy in here.
Admission
I have applied to many other colleges in Indore but The other colleges Fees was way too high for me and considering that the college follows RGPV Norms, my college is quite good, My admission was on the basis of JEE mains score, but the college offers admission on the basis of other criterias such as 12th basis and Diploma or others. As my JEE Mains score was low so I was not able to secure TFW seat but still my fees is quite low because I got the fees reduction on the basis of my marks.
Faculty
Most of the faculties are very good and supporting specially the Computer Science department faculties are greate in cooperating. IIST follows RGPV exam pattern as it has 2 MST's and best of two is sent to the university. Only thing that I don't like about is the attendance policy of the college that is 75% strict criteria.
