Life in IITH

Curriculum was very neatly structured and they really helped with the real world scenarios and helped us adapt well. Good decision was taken that no need of Workshop for CSE students in first year and also engineering drawing was excluded for us. But in a way it feels enginnering drawing should be a must course for us as well as it is for others

Placements are top notch many many companies come for placement and almost 100% placement record is there and especially CSE students and Elelctrical. Value labs, deloitte , HPCL,BPCL GOldman Saachs, Microsoft, Oracle etc many more companies came. College also has collaboration with Tokyo universities so students who opted for higher studies had a good option in Japan

Semester fees including tuition fee, caution, registration, hostel fee was 74,500INR which makes it yearly is 1,50,000INR. There were no compulsory charges during or after the completeion of the couse. SC,ST fees including all the fees were around 30,000 per semester which makes it 60,000 per year.

loads of clubs for literature, dance , signing, drama, sports, AI, hacking and a tinkerer's lab to brain storm ideas. NSS was there for social service and . Size of the library was rather small therefore not many books. But even then collection was pretty huge. and journals and research paper accessibility was great. college fest once a year and intra college extra curricular activites and sports meets too.

Great rooms, single rooms and the rooms have a big study table with chair and a big wardrobe and rooms alwasys stayed cool because of radial cooling technology. students can have fun in corridors and the entire building is a modern structure and looks stylish. FOod variety in mess was pretty good but we will get tired of eating from mess

Chose this because according to my choice filling it landed there and hyderabad is a comfort place for me and . I did not apply to other colleges and therefore did not receive any rejection . IITH itself is a prestigious college and applying elsewhere would not have made sense.

Faculty were very friendly and explain the courses to us very well and in a structured way. Approaching them was very easy just need to drop in a mail. Faculty were highly supportive and co-ordinating. Exams very moderate to hard type exams and grading for a course was relative grading for few and absolute grading. it depends on the professor and the course. Marks were there for attendance and not a compulsory percentage weightage.
