What Students Say

Likes

Faculty knowledge is good, there are a few knowledgable lecturers.
Many facilities are provided for students like free certification courses.
The people are also good to be around, friendly students and faculty

Dislikes

Very less preference to cultural activities and sports
There’s literally just one fest for a whole year which is pretty bad compared to other colleges

Course Curriculum Overview

For some subjects, the curriculum feels just about right but for some subjects, it's ridiculously less and too slow. For example, full stack development is taught in the third year of college which is pretty useless at that point of time. And by full stack development, I mean just html and CSS.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 110000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for students that joined through counselling is 1.1 lakhs, I got a seat from management quota so my fee is 10 lakhs for Four years. Scholarships are provided to Students that have joined by counselling.

Campus Life

There's Literally No Concept of clubs and cultural activities in the college. This college would've been a lot More fun To be in if there Were clubs and frequent cultural activities. The sports facilities are very poor too so the campus life is pretty bad

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are good, there's WiFi 24/7 and good accommodation. But the fee is ridiculously high and the food is so bad. I was in the campus hostel for a year and got out to rent another room which was so much better

Admission

I could've easily gotten into a better college but at the time of counselling, I was sick so I couldn't attend the counselling. This college was the last option I had when all seats in other college were filled. This college is not the best but it's Decent.

Faculty

The college is autonomous and makes it own papers and corrects them on their own. The exams are pretty easy and can be cleared easily, most Of the faculty is friendly but some are not very friendly. Some faculty has poor subject knowledge, some have better knowledge.

The curriculum is not the best i would say There are many flaws in it Although the say the syllabus keeps changing but the changes are not that much The teaching method is also old school methods U can expect an exam every 1.5 months The difficulty is also high

Thinking Beyond Academics and Placements , life at BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus.

Placement Experience:

Placement here are going on pretty well considering the recession that hit the market in recent years,student become eligible for placements from the first sem of their final year , typically 7th semester for single degree students (BE) and 9th semester for dual degree students (Msc+BE),as per the recent cycle around 310+ companies including Google, MIcrosoft,Goldman sachs etc. had visited campus with offer majorly ranging from 18 to 27 lpa , the highest package last cycle (domestic) was for 65lpa and average aroun 21 lpa. The perecentage of students getting placed is above 80% and remaining usually go on for pursuing masters or already have a PPO from the Practice School Internship.I personally will be sitting for placements in my last year and will be hoping to land a good offer.

Placement Experience:

Internships starts from spring break of 4th sem and placements start from spring break of 6th sem ( if you don't get a PPO ) Many big companies like Microsoft , Oracle , DeShaw and Qualcom visit the college. More than 80% of student that are eligible for placements get placed while the others get off campus placements or opt for higher studies. My plans after getting th degree depends on the CTC of package I get offered. If it is not upto my expectation I will pursue higher education abroad.
